I wonder how many of our posters actually watched the whole game that night??? I remember watching on t.v. and listening to Cawood. When they had trimmed the lead to around 20, I remember Cawood saying "The Cats are playing like they got a little fire in their bellies." I thought "yeah right." As a teenager I somehow forgot that Cawood had seen more games from courtside than most of us will see on t.v.
Small school, small gym. I'm sure East and West Carter would love to alternate every year. I say that mainly because they have complained as much. My advice would be, sell out your gyms every night and maybe someone will take notice..... 500 fans for the battle of Carter county says it all. Don't begrudge Elliott and Morgan because they have smaller gyms. At least they have in their sparsely populated counties loyal fans who will come and watch them play!!
I agree with them being hard to find on t.v. professor. However, some of the real classic Looney Toones cartoons are available on dvds of 4 hour duration at Target.
Chris is easily the most underrated player in this region. He never stops on defense. And if they back off of him he can knock it down. Doesn't shoot enough, IMO
Finally someone who knows why CovCath beat us, without talking about all that "Lockdown Defense" non sense. And your right, IMO those three could more than likely walk into any high school (Mason included) and start.
They faired pretty good last season with John Morgan starting. All I'm saying is, he's a very talented young man. But to watch him last season play with confidence and effort is completely different than watching him this season. And, IMO its because he isn't getting the looks on offense
They had much more experience by that time than Knipp does now. Plus your talking about a 6' 7' Freshman who grew 2 inches this past summer. Let's not even compare the three, because it isn't a fair comparison.
Yeah, I'm not picking on him. I just think him being a freshman, and only playing one year of JV ball, as an eighth grader, He could have really used another year on the Jv. To work on a few things, as well as to keep his confidence up with getting more shots. While still getting quality minutes on the varsity.
