  1. It's going to be a big time rebuilding year for the Lions, but I look for Coach Hampton to have the competing for a district title by the time March rolls around. Ruckel is going to be a heck of a player, their going to have to find ways to get him some open looks, I'm sure he's going to get everyones best defender and a lot of double teams.
  2. Congrats Riverstarz! Amazing accomplishment with several players unable to attend and one player being injured. I'm looking forward to watching Brett Ruckel from Lewis County over the next few years, this kid can flat fill it up.
  3. Nice win on the road for the Lions. Down 30-25 with less than three minutes to play when Parker (the db) stripped the ball and ran it in for the game winning score.
  4. Most summer games I have seen, play two 15min halves with a running clock and do not keep up with fouls. Yes it's safe to say most teams are not at full strength. IMO the best thing about summer ball is to get an idea of how some of the younger kids or role players have came along since the season was over.
  5. Nehro, Dialed In, Mucho Macho Man
  6. I would say Koty will play a 4, that is where he is most comfortable, but he could play a 3. He is 6'4" and the tallest player on Berea's roster last year was just 6'4".
  7. Koty is not only a good player he is a great kid. Congrats and good luck Koty!!
  8. The official at the table was trying to tell him it was a three but his ego wouldn't let him huddle up and talk about it with the other officials. He missed the call bottom line and possibly cost a bunch of hard working kids a state title.
  9. I was sitting three rows from the floor behind Rowan bench and it was a no doubt three. They should give Pouncy a ring!!
  10. I will be there! Coming down Tuesday staying at the Hyatt.
  11. If Knipp hustles a little and actually tried to play the game like most kids he would be unstoppable, but instead he decides to walk up and down the floor and never I mean never go inside and post up or crash the boards on the offensive end. It's hard to watch sometimes. Congrats to the Tomcats on the win you deserve to move on.
  12. I would say Fleming will be a contender next year, but a lock is a bit of a stretch IMO.
  13. I have been to the MSU the last couple of nights checking out the 16th, looking forward to going to the Fieldhouse tonight for some 10th region action. I'm going with the Royals by 10.
  14. A good shooter feels no pressure about any shot regardless of the score. If you don't know that then you must know little or nothing about basketball.
  15. Thats not necessarily the case, they would pressure the ball for a few seconds then foul and that's exactly what they did except they didn't foul they created a turnover. The point was meaningless.
  16. Yeah I saw this article a little while ago, guess it is true.
  17. He's not top 25 IMO. I don't see a whole lot of potential.
  18. Rowan came out fired up ready to play and dominated the whole game. West did just enough to hang around and make it respectable.
  19. I never even noticed. I was keeping up with the score so I'm not sure this is a true statement.
  20. This was the worst game I saw Lewis play all year (with the exception of Smith). Their defense was horrible at best. The lack of effort was obvious, just standing around after a shot and not crashing the boards will get you drilled Friday night. A win is a win this time of year it's just survive and advance. Good luck agaist Rowan.
  21. You can't be serious?? Boyd got every call all night!
