  1. I am not certain about a lot of things, but two things I am 100% certain about. First every girl on that team has the green light to shoot the ball....every girl. I know for a fact that the on more than one occasion the coach has had to tell the girls to shoot the ball. Unfortunately nobody's shot were falling that night. The second thing is that if you dont shoot you cant score.
  2. Scott played and excellent game no doubt they played a lot better than the first meeting, with different girls stepping up and making big shots. But if you don't think the refs had anything to do with the outcome then we must not have been at the same game. Pfeffer got her head taken off on a rebound when we were down 3 pts and nothing was called and the 5th foul on Klee was less than a touch foul maybe a breath foul. No doubt St Pat not making there free throws or jump shots had a lot to do with it, but yes the refs did help determine that outcome. I have not seen two of the refs (only know Hacksaw) before where are they from?
  3. We appreciate that mhighfield, but I am guessing that most Mason fans would root for anyone to beat GRC. I know I would. I graduated from Mason and I always like to see them win (of course except when they play the Saints). I enjoyed the parties the Clyde Barbour would throw at the now demolished Continental Inn. Good luck Saints and Royals, and I also can't wait for the region to be held back at Mason County where it belongs, its such a great atmosphere, with lots of tradition.
  4. It may be the only time this year Mason County fans root for St. Patrick boys to win.....lol
  5. Montgomery over Bracken Campbell over Deming St Patrick over Scott GRC over Harrison (Harrison could pull and upset here if playing well)
  6. Most likely a 6:30 and 8 on a seperate night either all boys one night or 9th or 10th one night. Why do you have to do it all in one night
  7. As long as we are dreaming I would love to see St Pat vs Brossart in the finals and St Pat earns first trip to Rupp..............dreams can come true......right?:idunno::confused::dancingpa:jump::laugh:
  8. Thanks for the help strike 3 I will get it right before the season is over ....maybe
  9. St Patrick captured the 39th district championship tonight. St Pat seniors came played a wonderful game. Great job by Cora Chamberlain with 3 three pointers and several rebounds Leslie Pfeffer did another great job running the floor. Molly Parker provided the hustle tonight Junior Ann Klee, Cierra Payne, Chrisma Payne added the defense. Sophmore Brooke Mosler again added an offensive spark and rebounding Freshman Chelsie Douglas provided offense and defense tonight Great win Lady Saints Lets hope for a good draw Saturday.
  10. Is winning in the district by 33 considered prep work for the region or running the score up. In a different thread far far away (lol) a 33 point win is considered a bad thing. In this thread nobody has a problem with 20 to 40 point difference.... Just asking
  11. My point about defense is that when you cause turnovers due to good defense you will end up with lots of fast breaks and thats what happened last night. Just look at the turn overs for the game. Coach Douglas shows more sportsmanship than a lot of coaches, and the facts don't lie about who has ran up the scores in this district (check previous post for the scores in case you missed them). We appreciate the Mason County fans that realize St Pat just had a great night, and yes Mason has lots to look forward too, its rare that you return everyone in a varsity lineup. Should be lots of fun again next year. D-UP, instead of letting the Lady Saints enjoy the victory you had to try and find a negative. Shame, shame, shame.:ohbrother: Great job Lady Saints, and Lady Royals its turning into a great friendly rivalry that looks fun for years to come.
  12. It is obvious you dont know Coach Douglas as well as you think you do. I do know her very well and she is one of the top coaches in the region or state. Her defensive coaching is second to none. She played eight different players in the first half and all of them scored. I remember that the jv game at Mason and I dont think putting in the JV would have made much of a difference since they are very talented as well. And for all those with short memories here are a few scores from the past two season of some local games 07-08 Mason 86 Ripley 44 Mason 86 Pendleton 57 Mason 85 Bracken 49 (anyone from Bracken remember any mercy in this one) Mason 75 Augusta 37 06-07 Mason 80 Ripley 49 Mason 84 Bracken 43 Mason 77 St Pat 29 hummmmmm I guess this is not running up the score.:idunno: I am sure Coach Butcher is a great guy and will turn the program around but the memories are way to fresh and unfortunately Coach Butcher is catching the fallout. Good Luck Lady Saints
  13. Great job Deming. When is Demings next game, with my luck I am sure it is the same night as the Lady Saints game.
  14. I totally agree with u sportsfan I only saw a few calls that I would have changed, like you just a fan though and not on the floor. If I had been on the floor there would have been a couple dozen calls that would need changed. I think Bart did another excellent job as did his partners. Way to go Saints and Lady Saints great wins
  15. St Patrick has 5 eigth graders on the freshman team and they all play significant minutes. The eigth graders also dress JV and see time there as well.
  16. Did they only move them down to play on the freshman team to play in the freshman tournament? Did they play in any freshman games prior to the tournament, if not that seems a little unfair to the girls that played in the freshman games throughout the year. As far as playing jv/varsity games, St Pats freshman team with the addition of one sophmore is the jv team and 3 or 4 of those see varsity time.
  17. Coach Douglas does a great job of substituting to keep players fresh, yes Chelsea did play all three but only limited time in freshman game. It helps to have a deep bench where you can play players in all three games.
