  1. I agree with you 100% Jetcat, the great thing about her is she didnt loose her touch. With her in the game it makes for a completely different game. St. Pat also has a pretty deep bench, should be a fun team for a few years to come.
  2. Montgomery 69 / Rowan 58 per the Khsaa website no other details
  3. I thought that the boys and girls 10th region tournament was being played at the Bank of Kentucky Center, but they only list boys. Anyone have any info?
  4. I saw a lot of puzzled looks on the players faces after some calls, I saw players ask the officials for clarification, and again a lot of emotion. mcpapa I was real close to your area as well on the rail behind the seats. If polarcat was not able to hear anything being said by one team I wonder how he heard something being said by the other team?
  5. I was at the game tonight, I saw a lot of emotion on the floor and after playing each other this many times I think that should have been expected. I think that Bracken came out of the locker room at half feeling good about there chances and when the Saints made the comeback emotions started running a little high. I did not see anything toward the coach but I wasnt watching for it either. I was not in the front row and I am sure you can here a lot of things sitting on the Saints side since you are very very close to the floor. However I do think language (both boys and girls teams), and taunting is getting out of hand. In the past couple of weeks I have witnessed a player giving fans the finger, overheard a young lady shout out a word that certainly is not appropriate at a ballgame.
  6. I agree 100% sportsfan2008, I was not sure what to expect out of the coaches but I was impressed with the way they coached the young ladies. The team hustled from the tip to the final buzzer. They certainly appeared to be very well coached and much more talented than there record reflects. I think Bellevue has a lot to look forward too.
  7. I was not calling anyone out Ladiesbballcoach, Scott Collins and Pendleton County did an excellent job hosting the tournament. The new Sharps middle school was an excellent facility to play in. But when you are notified less than 24 hours that your game is to be played that seems a little tight to me. I am sure a lot of factors go into when the games could have been played and I am positive the weather wrecked havic on the scheduling trying to work in the tournament and make up games. Just being a parent I do not have any say in hosting tournaments at St Patrick but I will certainly talk to the powers to be and suggest we offer our services next year. Congratulations Lady Saints and we hope to see everyone in Maysville next year......:walk:
  8. No they did not name a Tourney team. Seemed like the tourney was put together at the last minute I know we didnt have much notice of when we played and didn't even know how many teams were in the tourney or how many games we had to play, even after several attempts to contact those in the know.
  9. Yes she was very good. They also had some tall players as well, I noticed the bench looks tall but didnt see many play so not sure of the level of talent there. Should be a fun region for a few years to come a lot of teams seem to have some young talent.
  10. St Patrick captured the 10th region Freshman title Sunday beating Harrison County in the semi finals 36 -26. They played a very tough Campbell County team that came from behind to beat Montgomery County in the last minute of the other semi final. Great Job Saints.......very proud of all you young ladies.
  11. Does anyone have any details of last nights Bishop Brossart and Mason Game. Can't find any information on this game anywhere.
  12. Just a question, was the assistant already in place? Did the new head coach hire the assistant or was she hired by the admin.? If the head coach chose the assistant then he obviously wants to do things his way and pretty much on his own, and sometimes a new fresh start no matter how painful is what a program needs. From what I have seen this season the coach does a good job.
  13. Final score from Maysville St Pat 65 Lewis Co 42 St Pat finally put 4 solid quarters of basketball together. It was a very balanced night for St Pat. The defense looked as sharp as it has all year, nice time of year to be playing good ball. Lewis County fought hard but couldn't seem to get on track tonight, again St Pat defense had a lot to do with it IMO.
  14. You are correct Monday Night first game is Augusta vs Bracken girls Monday Night second game Augusta vs Mason boys Tuesday Night first game St Patrick vs Mason Co girls Tuesday night second game St Patrick vs Bracken boys (5th time this season) Finals on Thursday girls first then boys
  15. How is anyone jumping to conclusions when u clearly ask if it needed editing?
  16. NO!!!!!! Unlike a lot of other coaches I have been around Coach Douglas does not need to use profanity to get her point across to the girls. That may have happened in the past but it does not happen now. I think that is a low blow even suggesting that she would.
  17. Tayler had a super game. She was wide open on some shots but also made a few with a hand in her face or the defense charging, very impressive game for her. St Patrick on the other hand trailed in the beginning another slow start, then built a 17 point lead. Pendleton cut the lead to 3 before St Patrick pushed it back to 10 and finally won by 5. St. Patrick has shown in the last two games they can come from behind, but somehow they need to learn to finish a game.
  18. Lady Saints have varsity games scheduled for Mon (2nd) Wed, Thur, Sat with freshman tourney fri and sun (our JV is our freshman and 8th graders minus 1 sophmore) so a very busy week for us.
  19. Well said!!! If the Lady Saints play like they have in a couple games they can compete with anyone. But it will have to be there best performance of the year
  20. I am not sure about you but I think the object is to play to win no matter how tough the opponent is. If your playing for a runners - up trophy then thats all you will ever get. I am not sure if the Lady Saints can beat Montgomery county but I can gaurentee you one thing they wont be playing them to come in second.
  21. Has anyone heard of any varsity games being cancelled for tonight?
  22. Holmes has a very good team. The inside game is almost unstoppable, however the lady Saints managed to pull out the win. Cora Chamberlain had another outstanding night shooting from the outside, and Ann Klee took care of the inside with I imagine another double, double. Molly Parker and the Paynes did a great job as well. I think Leslie Pfeffer had an outstanding game with her shooting and point gaurd work, but the play that may have turned the game was her saving the ball back to Cora, who then drew the foul. Chelsie Douglas and Brooke Mosler came off the bench to add solid minutes also. I was also impressed with the Saints JV play tonight. Holmes has a big and quick team for both JV and Varsity. Good win Saints
  23. Great job by both teams. Neither team would give up. Great start for St. Pat and a great comeback by Bracken. All the girls deserve a lot of credit. I hope the finals are as exciting as this semi final. Great Job everyone.
