  1. This is not true. No promises were made nor were they taken back.
  2. Kentucky is trying to be a leader in the coal to liquid. But then again even though Nazi Germany tried, the technology is still expensive to develop and cheaper to use oil. http://www.kftc.org/our-work/canary-project/campaigns/filthy-fuels/frequently-asked-questions http://www.usnews.com/usnews/biztech/articles/070613/13coal.htm
  3. As the price reaches $4 it becomes more viable to start using domestic oil vs. imported oil. So as we pay more we will get off of foreign oil. By the way bio fuels are not the answer- see cost of food for major reason. We need to do a better job at battery technology. Electric cars could solve many ills. Currently electric car technology can get around 150 miles per charge. Most of us don't typically drive that in a course of a day. Electric cars are the way to go. http://www.ampmotorworks.com/
  4. Beat Ludlow last year:dancingpa Anyway back on topic I do wish Randy well. It will be an uphill fight for him to produce a winning program at Cooper. The administration did him no favor by jumping right into varsity play. With the new round of realignment coming soon why not wait till then?
  5. The complaint around Scott has always been the Head Coach doesn't know anything about football because everyone knows about all the great players just walking around the halls. Yet when these coaches move on they see success on other teams. Two former head coaches -Gray and McCarthy both went on to coach as assistance and helped CovCath win State titles. The latest former Scott head coach who did not know football is a new assistant coach at CovCath.
  6. But then again the last two State Championships at CovCath did have former Scott head coaches as assistance coaches:sssh:
  7. Lot of wisdom in that. Better to keep the Mrs. happy at home:dancingpa
  8. That is off the wall. Thought one of the reasons he stopped coaching football was to much time involved, then he did golf -less time.
  9. For those complaining about price of gas- How many of you are currently drink a bottle of water? If you paid $1 for that bottle out of a vending machine that water cost $8 per gallon  Yet no one complains about $8 a gallon water.
  10. More times that not and more than he ever saw at Scott
  11. I think he's happy to be a "Colonel" now. He'll enjoy being on the "W" side of things.
  12. But it could also make it difficult to field a coaching staff. At this point in the year most coaches have their staffs in place. Unless the new coach brings in some loyal coaches it could be difficult to fill out the assistant coaches positions. How many paid assistant coaches does Ludlow traditional have?
  13. Guess that's true for any urban setting not limited to Cincinnati Zoo area.
  14. I've never had any safety issues in or around the Cincinnati Zoo. I've been there many times. I've parked on most of the streets surrounding the zoo both day and night and never felt unsafe. The last few years I have been getting a parking pass to park in the zoo lot only because it's easier with the kids stuff. Sorry to hear you've had issues, I've just never seen it.
  15. In the summer early morning is the best. Beat the crowds and the heat. Cincinnati Zoo is the "better" of the two. But then again I'm a little bias since I've been a member of Cincinnati Zoo the last 17 years:dancingpa I've been to Louisville and it's a good Zoo. Columbus Ohio has a nice one also.
  16. I wonder how the Ludlow community feels about this? He didn't have much success there plus backed out on the Scott job 3 years ago. Seems to be an interesting hire to me.
  17. Looks like Ludow may be looking for a new coach.
  18. : :lol:I think someone else on here may not be a CovCath "fan" or maybe their Spirit that will not die is just dead.
  19. An interesting name being discussed for this job. Guess we'll see soon.
  20. :lol:So true. Holmes should see improvement over last year. They've had success in the Jr. High league and on the Freshman level. They could very well be competing for the number 3 spot in the district.
  21. I wonder if Chad had his feeling hurt by the "fans" when he was sued over the car thing at Funny Bones? Maybe his act is growing thin around here and he wants to change his image.
