I'm not criticising the players at all, I think they are the best team in the region. What they have accomplished has been very impressive but you have to admit that the Elliott fans appear to be unfamiliar with success or how to handle it.

That would be much appreciated. So really is Elliott going to play their starters in this game or rest them for the state tournament?

WOW! First someone starts a thread asking if Elliott Co. is the best 16th region team ever, then all of their fans are picking them by 25 plus points and now all of their starters are D-1. I say cancel the rest of the season because no one can beat them. Plus who would want to, if Elliott does blow through the region Jonestown won't hold a candle to Sandy Hook. Skip the class A bring on the Celtics.

Over confidence? Thats the only way I can explain these predicted point spreads. I pick Elliott but if you want to give me Rose Hill and 25 I take it all day long.

Well how could anyone blame Fairview if they looked past the Tomcats? Before tonight Ashland had 0 victories on an opponents home floor and they just came off a thrashing and I mean thrashing at Rose Hill. Plus according to some they have a tendency to overlook district games.

. I agree the better team won tonight. Fairview has to learn that you cannot take any opponent lightly.

I hate to hurt your feelings but IF and it is a big IF Rose Hill beats Elliott, Rose Hill would move to the top of the region. Please give me a logical reason why they wouldn't. Personally I think if Bath wins the class a region they have a legitimate claim. I think Elliott is and has been the team to beat but if they lose then they will fall from the top spot at least momentarily.

I agree but we are speaking hypothetically that if Rose Hill beats them should they still be ranked #1. I say no, others are wrong.

Two things are predictable 1. is that if you get Ashland off of "Bob Kouns Court" they get beat. The second is that no matter how average Ashland is there fans will remain oblivious to the truth. If they overlooked a district opponent then you should be questioning whether Biggs is capable of leading Ashland to Rupp. For the record I don't think they did and I think he is.

These two teams need to thank their lucky stars that Russell is in the 16th. Because it keeps them from being the worst two teams in the region. I hope no one paid full admission.

Pretty simple if you aske me. If Ashland shoots less than 50% they will lose. They are a terrible rebounding team and that will keep them from having any shot come March. If I'm not mistaken that if the current district standings hold up this is a preview of a first round matchup.

I could here quite a bit of chanting in the background over the radio/internet. I thought it was interesting that very early in the game the Ashland radio crew alluded to the rebound problems that Ashland has had. Boy was the on the money.

So their #1 until their season ends?

Let me rephrase Elliott Co. is #1 no matter what happens. Does that make you feel better? Well hogwash! If Rose Hill beats them next Monday then they are no longer #1.

I listened on the web last night and I didn't hear anything offensive from the radio crew. As a matter of fact I heard them compliment Rose Hill on being gracious host. I believe that Dirk Payne mentioned that someone from Rose Hill brought them food and drinks to the table.

Granted Rose Hill is no Spencer County but 17. Have you lost your mind.
