Don't know that one but they had a Soph. early in the season on the JV level. He has a common name but I can't remember it now. He was the Freshman QB in 06 and he was pretty decent then, if that helps.

I can think of a big reason SK (76-0) and Campbell (88-12) may not want to play Highlands. These both were a long time a go but who wants to be humiliated like that? Boone should be playing Highlands. I think any program in NKY that wants to be a dominate program should play Highlands. Highlands is ranked in the top 5 in the state every year so if you want to achieve that level of success you have to expose your players to games against that calliber of opponent. Prime example Conner 03, 04. I think what you see with teams scheduling Highlands is they tend to pick their spots. Conner picks them up after 2 good years, get dominated and drops them, Ryle adds them after a State run, we will see how that goes, Beechwood plays 2 years gets dominated and then goes away. Boone same story, I can only think of one team that comes back every year weather they have to play Highlands or not. May not be the best choice.

I am sure that is true I was just making sure I didn't miss something as Cov. Cath was being appointed one of the top 2 teams in the state in 5A and they were not even a top 2 team in their district. I say a Catholic school wins tonight. Good luck to both teams tonight and in the playoffs.

Highlands has about 409 boys Cut offs 6A About 650 5A about 501 4A 411 Highlands is a 3A school by enrollment but the are close to the 4A cut off. FtBB I was just making a joke and I agree Highlands is the Elite program because everyone does or should want to be as successful as them. In my opinion they are the only Elite program in NKY.

But when they loose to a bigger school we hear about how the other team should win because they are a bigger school. That keeps them from being on the same level as Highlands in my opinion.

I didn't I started when the Playoff system did 1959. So Beechwood's longest dry spell was from 1959-1984. I would say Beechwood is the 2nd best program, in NKY.

Hasn't Cov. Cath already lost to a 5A school this season? (Besides Highlands)

The answer to the question is Highlands. They are THE elite program in NKY. 16 State Titles and they never have a down year. The longest span without a State Title is 7 yrs. and if Highlands looses a Football game to anyone I am surprised.

I didn't realize every other 5A team had decided not to play in the playoffs this year. Well will Highlands and CCH have 4 byes, or will they now play the 5A State title game in week one of the playoffs?
