Agree 100% 1. SK has alot of returning starters next year. JV team lost 1 game and frosh went 10-0. They need to improve their schedule and play better competition if they want to get to the top of 6A in NKy. IMO 2. CC will also be good next year. Alot of young talent. Depends on how they mature at the varisty level. 3. Conner would have been my #2 pick but not sure how many kids they will be losing to Cooper. They have the talent on the JV team to make big improvements next year.

I'm assuming your talking about the parents or fans here? I thought the football teams played and won with class/sportmanship all year.

This game will be broadcast on Insight channel 20 Sat. at 5:00 pm and next Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 pm.

Yes, I was very impressed with both teams, coaches and fans. I watched fans from both teams congratulating players from both sides as they were leaving the field last night.

With all the hype and attention this game received, did anyone that watched the game leave diappointed? Not with the outcome, but the quality of play. I for one thought the game was well played on both sides. Congrats to SK and Highlands for a great game.

Good point, but Crane's the faster back!! You have to realize that Crane's still only at about 80% from the partial MCL tear. Still wears the knee brace and the speed is still not there. Still runs downhill hard and is hard to bring down but the east to west, not there yet. I watched the kid play early in the year and 3 or 4 times since, including the last Highlands game. He's one of the best back's I've seen in awhile. The other thing is that every team keys on him and he earns every yard he gains. Tonight he had 171 yards (that from the SK coaches) 34 in the first half and 137 in the second half. Highlands has one of the best programs if not the best football program in the state and they knew Crane was going to carry the load for SK tonight and did everything in their power to stop him. Props to the Crane kid. He earned every yard against a very tough Highlands defense.

IMO SK is the best team I've seen this year. But they are not that much more talented than Highlands or Ryle. That's why I've enjoyed watching the freshman games this year. You have to show up every week and play hard or you don't win.

Not saying who is the best or the 2nd best. All I'm saying is that you had 5 or 6 teams that were all very competitive with each other and that you could match up any 2 of them and have a good game. I'm sure if the tables were turned and SK had the 1 loss they would be claiming to be the 2nd best team. The fact remains the same, alot of competitive teams this year. I don't remember a whole lot of blowouts between these teams.

I think they will!! You don't get to the level of the Highlands program by making the same mistakes. Hope that SK can get to that level with the varsity program someday.

Couldn't agree more. Lot of teams in NKY pretty equal this year. It just seems that SK somehow found ways to win. Look forward to a great game this Thursday.

Not sure I agree with you on this one. If Highlands wins, it will be because they out play SK on Thursday night. I think SK has proven all year that they have the most taltent on the freshman level this year. Not saying that SK will win the game. It's hard to beat a good team once much less twice in the same season. But I would have to give a slight edge to SK right now.

I was at the first game and thought the Highlands faithful responded pretty well to some of the things that went on during that game. It was a hard fought, emotional game and sometimes things get out of control. That said!! I watched both teams play serveral times this year and IMO neither team brought their A game that night. Look forward to both teams showing up ready to play and watching a great game.
