  1. Definitely not what I've been reading, but we'll see. Would love for some of that to push on down towards Richmond.
  2. I'll occasionally listen to Jack Pattie on 101.5 in the mornings. Usually always tune into Kruser and Crew from noon to 3 on 101.5, but have found myself changing the station when he starts talking politics all day. I hate Hannity, so I change the station at 3 when he comes on. Instead, I'll listen to the Afternoon Underdogs on 790 AM and flip back and forth between that and Eddie and Tracy on 700 WLW. If I'm in the car around 6, I'll usually tune in to Larry Glover Live as well.
  3. Not supposed to snow until later tonight.
  4. North Central KY, 2-4 inches South Central KY, 1-3 inches And yes, they're definitely more concerned with next week's storm. If it stays all snow, and no rain, we could be in for a doozy.
  5. Cocktail Meatballs 1 bag frozen meatballs 3 bottles of Chili Sauce 1 (10 ounce) jar of grape jelly Melt jelly and chili sauce together in crock pot. Add meatballs and heat thoroughly
  6. Baked Beans 2 (1 pound) cans of Van Kamp’s pork’n beans 1/2 cup chopped onion 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 4 tablespoons of BBQ sauce 1/4 cup bourbon 1 teaspoon mustard 4 slices of bacon Add all ingredients except bacon into casserole dish and mix well. Place bacon strips on the top. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 1 and 1/2 hours.
  7. Is Louisville expected to get anything by Saturday? I have to drive to the La Grange/Buckner area Saturday afternoon.
  8. Not so confident about this next system. It's looking like Virginia and the Carolinas will get hit hard though. As of right now, I'd say we'll only squeek an inch or so out of this next one. However, there is another system supposed to be heading our way next Tuesday or so.
  9. I saw one guy who said he only made $40 in 10 hours. Yes, you get to sit at home, but you could make $7 or $8 working part time at a gas station nearby or something. Another thing is ChaCha's site even says that it's not meant to replace your current job or be a primary source of income. Not trying to stop you, and I'm sure there are cases where people make some decent spending money doing it, but just from the way it looks to me, if you don't spend a good amount of hours on it, you're not going to come away with much.
  10. After searching Google, I did not see very many good things said about working for ChaCha. And I also discovered that the average pay for a ChaCha guide was something like $4 an hour. Yes, it's based on the questions you answer, but it averaged out to $4 per hour for most. I also found out that if you fail the test, you will likely be asked to be a ChaCha expeditor, who get paid even less. Like $.02 per answer.
  11. Filed over the weekend and I'm getting the biggest tax return I've ever gotten. Might be time to buy that HD TV.
  12. Oh, forgot to mention....vienna sausages dipped in peanut butter.
  13. Where I'm at in Richmond, we have a general 4-5 inches. However, there are big, foot deep drifts. Just took the dogs out and they loved it. The side road that runs outside my apt. is still not plowed, there are however tracks in it that may prove promising later in the day when I have to go out. Still no idea what the bypass looks like, but last night it was in terrible condition. One question. If EKU is closed saturday (per SnoGo) does that mean the All A is also canceled?
  14. Eh, doesn't have to be chocolate. I'll pretty much pair any sweet/savory combo.
  15. Here goes: -Mac and cheese with sugar in it -chocolate mini-donuts with mustard on them -chocolate chip cookies wrapped in sliced cheese -potted meat sandwich with mustard and crumbled chocolate chip cookie -pepperoni pizza with crumbled chocolate chip cookie on top -biscuits and gravy with syrup on top -scrambled eggs with ketchup and syrup on top -biscuits and gravy with fried apples on top -like to dip cheeseburger in honey -fries in honey too -spam (or treat) and japanese shrimp sauce sandwiches ...I'm sure there's more. I'll add if I think of them.
  16. Just read Chris Bailey's site: kyweathercenter.com and you are right. He is showing more snow further north, but yes, it's going to take longer to get there. The radar showed snow in Richmond from 1 PM to 10 PM and the snow really didn't come down until then, at 10. CB is now calling for 6-10 inches for the Richmond area. The drifting going on here is pretty bad too. Some spots are barely covered, other spots have 4 or so inches due to drift, with a general 2 inches everywhere else.
  17. Sorry to burst your bubble, but they've said all week that anyone north of Lexington isn't going to see much, if anything at all. As for me. Richmond has about 2 inches right now and the roads are REALLY, REALLY BAD! It took me 30 minutes to get from my apartment to Taco Bell, which is only about a mile and half away. The bypass in Richmond is in the worst condition I've ever seen it in and the side roads are worse.
  18. Jim, you're seeing virga (sp?) which is when the snow is falling, it just isn't reaching the ground because the dewpoint is too low. Basically, it's too cold to snow, lol. Here in a little while, the atmosphere should moisten up a bit and allow that snow to fall to the ground. They're calling for 3-5 or 4-6 inches here in Richmond....All A is tonight as well....hmmmmm, could get interesting.
  19. Dog crates? Yes, they do make some bigger ones, but not as big as you need from the sound of it. The picture below is what you really need, but I can't find a link to one that you can actually buy.
  20. You could try this. Get a large dog crate/cage. You can find them on Craigslist for around $40. It doesn't need to be in good shape. Store the firewood in this cage and use a chain and Masterlock to lock it up. That way they'd have to steal the entire dog crate full of wood in order to take anything. This would be pretty heavy to steal, and surely they would not steal something so large. If it does go missing, call the police and it should be pretty easy to locate. Here's one, for example: http://lexington.craigslist.org/hsh/1573146323.html Just make sure you secure the front and back with locks and your problem should be solved.
  21. Here's a motion detector camera at Wal-Mart for $85. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mace-CAM-PIR-Motion-Detector-Camera/13055963
