  1. Here is an idea that might work. Get something that smells really, really bad. An example: animal urine. I think you can pick some up at a place that sells deer hunting equipment. Put out a "fake" wood pile and cover it in this stuff. Another idea might be vinegar, IDK. Either way, it should smell pretty awful once they burn it. It's hard to believe that the police won't even come out and question the neighbors. Other than some type of hidden camera I don't know what you could do to collect evidence.
  2. Richmond is predicted to get 5-7 inches by WKYT and 2-5 inches by LEX18. So, in other words, God is saying he doesn't like the All A tournament in Richmond and it needs to be moved. As quickly as possible!
  3. You are correct, and this is why weather is such a headache. Models shifted back north this morning. I doubt we'll have any good, reasonable ideas until late tonight or mid-day/evening tomorrow.
  4. Nope. Now since the roads aren't going to be covered in snow, I'm getting the heck out of Richmond. The two worst times in Richmond are the All A and EKU graduation.
  5. New models show the snow way to our South. Nashville may be getting the bulk of the snow now. Still could change, but now it's looking like we're going to get zip. Nada. Nothing.
  6. This is a portion of the Special Weather Statement on Weather.com: AS OF NOW... THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WILL IMPACT SOUTH-CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND THE SOUTHERN BLUEGRASS REGION BETWEEN 10AM FRIDAY MORNING AND 10PM FRIDAY NIGHT. AT THIS POINT... THE LAKE CUMBERLAND AREA AS WELL AS LOCATIONS ACROSS SOUTH-CENTRAL KENTUCKY CLOSEST TO THE TENNESSEE BORDER WILL SEE THE LARGEST SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... NAMELY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM MORGANTOWN TO LIBERTY. THESE AREAS COULD POTENTIALLY SEE SNOWFALL TOTALS IN THE 5 TO 9 INCH RANGE. LOCATIONS ACROSS CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND THE CENTRAL BLUEGRASS REGION COULD SEE SNOWFALL AMOUNTS NAMELY IN THE 2 TO 4 INCH RANGE... WITH QUICKLY TAPERING AMOUNTS ACROSS FAR NORTH-CENTRAL KENTUCKY. AGAIN... MOST OF THE ACCUMULATING SNOWS WILL FALL DURING THE DAYTIME AND EARLY EVENING HOURS FRIDAY. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT A SLIGHT SHIFT IN THE TRACK OF THIS STORM SYSTEM WILL GREATLY DETERMINE RESULTING SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS. A MORE SOUTHERN TRACK WOULD YIELD LESSER SNOWFALL TOTALS FOR EXAMPLE. HOWEVER... IT IS EVIDENT THAT AREAS ACROSS SOUTH-CENTRAL KENTUCKY COULD EXPERIENCE A MAJOR WINTER STORM AND TRAVEL WILL UNDOUBTEDLY BE TREACHEROUS ON FRIDAY AND INTO SATURDAY MORNING. SINCE THERE IS STILL UNCERTAINTY WITH THE TRACK OF THIS STORM SYSTEM... PLEASE STAY TUNED TO LATER FORECASTS AND STAY ABREAST OF THIS WINTER WEATHER SITUATION.
  7. Here's what I understand: Southern KY will get hit hard. Some say maybe even 10+ inches. Central KY is still up in the air, it all depends on the track of the system. We may get a dusting, we may get 6+. The trend right now, is that the storm is heading south, so Tenn. could be in the sweet spot for the snow. These maps and tracking systems fluctuate daily. One day it could put us in the sweet spot, the next it could show little to no snow at all for us. We will not have any kind of good grasp until approx. 12 hours before the snow should be falling. Even then, it's hard to predict.
  8. OH NO! That's not this weekend is it? I live in Richmond too and HATE, HATE, HATE when that junk is going on! Makes me want to leave town. I'd rather deal with rush hour traffic in Lexington than with All A traffic in Richmond. Richmond just isn't set up for that much traffic. Anyways, from reading blogs and looking at models, Southern KY looks to get hit with something big at the moment, maybe close to a foot. From Berea on up will be a cutoff where we may see 6 inches or so. These storms do often track southerly so it's possible that by Thursday night they'll be saying we're not going to get much, but I hope we see 4+ inches.
  9. By my ear, Scott is more a naturally high pitched singer. He didn't have to scream or screech to get those highs, Johnson on the other hand is a shreeker. It seems to me he has to shout to hit those notes. Agreed? Or am I off base with that?
  10. It may be because I grew up hearing Johnson's vocals and didn't learn until later that AC/DC had a previous lead singer. Heard Bon Scott and it just wasn't the AC/DC that I grew up with. Not a bad thing, but just not what I was used to. I listen to AC/DC more for Angus anyways.
  11. I don't know why, and this might be blasphemy, but I've always preferred Brian Johnson's vocals over Bon Scott's.
  12. I go to EKU, what do you want to know specifically?
  13. Already seen it. Honestly I don't think it's anything paranormal. Crap only seems to happen when I'm not here.
  14. Yes there is. Both windows to this room were locked. In fact, all windows were locked.
  15. This isn't the exact lock, but this is the secondary lock I was talking about. How something like that gets locked by "accident" is beyond me:
  16. UPDATE: And to address DC above, no it was not stolen from my apartment area, it was stolen from a parking lot behind a very public, crowded business. But anyways, I never have figured out what was going on at my apartment, and things seemed to die down. My neighbors moved out and things stopped happening.....hmmmmmm, makes me wonder. Now, after Christmas, my fiancee' and I returned to my apartment to drop some gifts off before taking her back to LaGrange. I have a two bedroom apartment and I'm the only one living here, so I only need one room to sleep in. The other, smaller room, is an office/music room/junk area. One of the things I got was a new mattress, so we were moving the old mattress into this junk room for the time being...but the junk room's door was locked. Problem is, it locks from the inside and it's not one of those locks where you just push a button to lock the door. You have to turn the little latch and lock it, so I know it wasn't bumped by accident. Also, there is another latch on that door that you have to put in place as an additional lock that was also locked. That one's hard to explain but I'll try and post a picture of what I'm talking about. Someone had to physically turn it to lock it and physically put the latch in place. We were both confused and I had to get a screwdriver and take the lock off the door in order to get in the room. We found no one in there, nothing had been moved, everything was there and in place. How that door got locked is beyond me.
  17. I used to love Operation Repo until I learned it was fake.
  18. Love watching this show but can't ever remember when it's on. I always catch the re-runs.
  19. Some stats on just how often the RROD occurs and how "helpful" Microsoft's customer support is: The Xbox 360 breaks five times as often as its closest failure-prone competitor, the PlayStation 3, a print edition-only Game Informer survey found. The poorly manufactured, red ring of death-prone console has a 54.2 percent failure rate, compared to 10.6 percent for the PS3 and the Wii's 6.8 percent. ...Microsoft also seized the gold medal for unhelpful customer service, taking nearly a month to repair or replace a console, while Nintendo and Sony stuck closer to a week. Only 37.7 percent of Microsoft customers found the company's customer service was "very helpful," compared to 51.1 percent fo Sony and 56.1 percent for Nintendo. http://consumerist.com/2009/08/xbox-360-failure-rate-is-542-percent-game-informer-finds.html IMO, it's crazy that Microsoft would continue to sell such a product. Is it good while it works? Sure, but over half the people that buy them get RROD. Just because Microsoft has customer service that will repair the problem for free, doesn't justify making such an unreliable product. Oh, and do you really want to be system-less for a month or more?
  20. Conan may be suing NBC: http://extratv.warnerbros.com/2010/01/source_conan_obrien_sue_nbc.php Some snippets: An insider tells "Extra" today that Conan may sue NBC over his timeslot war with Jay Leno. and Today, a new report states that if Conan refuses the proposed move to 12:05, NBC is threatening to keep him off the air for the duration of his contract -- three-and-a-half years!
  21. PS3 imo. Multiple RROD's will make you want to punch a baby penguin.
  22. From the way I see it, Leno's show was the problem. Leno at 10 did not work. No one was watching it and that hurt the local news stations because there was no lead-in from Leno to the news. Conan was also trying to build fans. Yes, he had a devoted group that has watched him for years, but how long did Leno have to build a fan base? Also, with fewer viewers watching the 11 o'clock news, there were fewer people on the lead-in into the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. So in theory, you put an actual good show on NBC at 10, that creates good lead-in to the news, and good lead-in into the Tonight Show.
