Frankfort has 2 kickoff returns and 1 punt return for TDs. Quan Weaver a 91 yard Kickoff return and Dwight Tillman a 90 yard kickoff return and a 89 yard punt return. Special teams were big tonight.

The defense played great in the first half. Trimble's offense didn't seem to confuse Frankfort at all. Their defensive backs made several outstanding plays on some long passes, but were also helped by some dropped passes by Trimble Co. Coach B, you did a superb job of mixing up the run and the pass in the first half. Missing Mason didn't seem to hurt your offense too much?

Frankfort 35-7. Weather looks to be much better than two years ago when it it rained buckets at Trimble's field.

AND Frankfort has always had kids to put on the field that can run! I have followed them since the mid 60's (through the Ollie Leathers and Raymond Webb days) and they ALWAYS have some kids that are faster than greased lightning, usually on the small size, although E.J. Fields and Quan Weaver have broken the mold (not smashed it, just broken it; they are not tiny kids, like Mico Wells) There were a couple of times where it looked like the safety didn't know where the ball was; maybe lack of communication? Also, in your opinion, is Weaver good enough to play high D-1 ball? He seems to have the body, the strenghth and the speed. Seems to have a good attitude as well.

I humbly admit that I wrote too quickly. Trimble is always a well-coached, tough team, and they play Frankfort at home. I hope it doesn't rain like it did two years ago. I think their field does give them an edge. This will be a good game, so , yes Eminence and Trimble could challenge Frankfort.

Quan Weaver had a great game on both sides of the ball. He seems to have a nose for the ball. He also had several BIG tackles and an interception tonight. The defense played well, also; they gave us some yardage but came up with the stops when they needed to. The young O line is doing a good job, and will get better as the season goes on (won't they, Coach B?). I was also impressed with Keri Metcalf's passing. The radio announcers after the game said he was 4 for 6 for 111 yards. He was accurate with his passes; all the recievers had to do was run under the ball and there it was. Spencer County played with a lot of heart tonight. They are moving in the right direction. Good job, Panthers!

Riherd's has Weaver listed as a junior. He is strong and fast. He gained over a 1,000 yards last year as a sophomore. And no, I am not related to him....LOL. Just a Panther alumni and fan.

What kind if numbers did Quan Weaver have for Frankfort? I think he is going to be an outstanding running back this year and next. He has good size (6'1" / 195). He is a monster on defense, too.

Getting older, have seen a lot of good backs at FHS over the years, so forgive me for saying Cameron Jouett, when I meant Jordan Morgan! (I could have said Tommy Clay or Larry Robinson or Willie Washington, all great running backs at Frankfort back in the day (60s-70s)!

Coach B, you are right about waking up in the second half. They seemed asleep in the first half, especially after EJ got hurt. It seemed like nobody wanted to take charge. In the second half, Mico Wells, Cameron Jouett and Kwan(sp?) Weaver decided to take over. Weaver is incredible for a sophomore. He has such a quick first step; he is through the hole and GONE! I was also impressed with #32 when he took over at QB in the second half. Why the change to start the game with Metcalf at QB and EJ at wide receiver? I didn't think it was particularly successful. Comments?

I was looking at Frankfort High School's stats on Riherds ( http://scoreboard.12dt.com/scoreboard/bluegrasspreps/kyfb07?id=stats_24640 ) and noticed what a huge average for their running back, Jordan Morgan. He has a 17 yard average per carry (595 yards on 35 carries) and a touchdown per 2.91 carries (12 touchdowns on 35 carries). Are there other backs out there with better averages? p.s. Jorgan's quarterback, E.J. Fields is "only" averaging 14.6 yards per carry (556 yards on 38 carries) and a touchdown per 5.42 carries (7 touchdowns on 38 carries. Not too shabby?
