Football in March definitely gets the blood going, one thing about officiating, I’ve called college spring scrimmages the last two weekend and have em lined up through most of April, it definitely gets you excited! Glad you enjoyed it!

Great Crossing High School - New Football Program

Time will tell, but there is a great staff in place and given a few years Great Crossing will be giving most teams a run for their money. -
5 Favorite Places In State Where You Have SEEN a Game

Pulaski sure isn’t for the field, that field is horrendous, they do not take care of it. -

1.Johnson Central- other than the sounds guy very great atmosphere 2. Corbin-parking is horrible or it would be 1 3. Middlesboro- the brick walls around the stadium create a very unique old school look and back in the day no one left there with a W. 4.Hazard- the walk up to the field will leave every opponent out of breath. 5.Wayne County- very underrated atmosphere. -

I must have completely overlooked Belfry when I glanced at it last night. -
Lawrence County - 2019 Schedule

They should win that district. Ironically Paintsville; Pikeville, and Raceland are 1a schools that will be tougher than anyone in their district. -
Paintsville - 2019 Schedule

Sad to see their series with Williamsburg end, that seemed like a good game for both teams. -
Silence, I spoke to one of the coaches in Harlan’s district yesterday and he hasn’t heard a single name on the grape vine.

Football Rule of the Week (Valentines Edition)
HT721 replied to HT721's topic in KY Football (High School)
There should still be a ready for play whistle, play clock will just be running before it’s blown, similar to college and nfl. -
Got away from this for a while, but with the new rules being released for next year seems like a good time to start back. 7-2-1 After the ball is marked ready for play, each player of A who participated in the previous down and each substitute for A must have been, momentarily, between the 9-yard marks, before the snap. This rule is basically designed to keep players from standing near the sideline and acting like they are in the game on trick plays. For those that don't know the 9 yard marks are the big numbers on the field. This is a call that honestly a crew will miss if they aren't really paying attention to the players between the snaps, especially when a team is running a hurry up.

Middlesboro - 2019 Schedule
HT721 replied to Colonels_Wear_Blue's topic in KY Football (High School)
Jackets could win 7-9 games with this schedule and the new district. Kids are excited and believe they can win. Things will turn around and French will win at least one if not two playoff games this year. -
Eat at Shep's place downtown, if I don't have a game that night I'll treat ya.

Jason Chappell named Great Crossing head football coach
HT721 replied to barrel's topic in KY Football (High School)
Chappell will be amazing there, I’m sure he will be glad to not have an administrator calling his offense for him anymore! I’ve called several games when he was coaching and you will not find a higher class person to lead young men. -
Larry French named Middlesboro head coach
HT721 replied to All State Baseball's topic in KY Football (High School)
With two kids at Middlesboro Elementary this hire really has me excited for the future. My kids at this point in their life don't know what Middlesboro football can be and for them to have a change to get some great memories growing up now means a lot to me as a Dad. -
Press conference for French is tomorrow at 4:00pm at the school cafeteria. Great hire for the Jackets that will help bring them back. With the new district and region I suspect French will win a region in the next 3 years. Maybe more than 1.

Jep Irwin named Whitley County's new football coach
HT721 replied to MrKnowNothing's topic in KY Football (High School)
If he can keep the principal from running the team for him should work well. Still bothers me they fired a coach that was 2 points literally in game 9 from a district championship. -
Middlesboro will go from a 1 win team to region champ next year.
-
Curious how Pineville responds, if they don’t make a good hire could be death kill to their program.

Kids looking for a last minute offer I'm sure do. This was mostly started as a recruitment tool for University of the Cumberlands and then it grew and newer board members and sponsors moved it away from there.

I agree and 4-23-3(e) allows for the movements you are speaking of, but often times guard's aren't getting the benefit of it.
