  1. You can set up a UTMA for each grandchild. Once they reach age of majority, you turn over all rights to them. In Kentucky, that’s 18 but they wouldn’t have access until you sign off in it. You could then invest it in something and all taxes are taxed at the GK’s rate. It is a non-revocable gift.

  2. Yep. What generation didn't get made fun of by the older generation? I sure do remember it when I was younger. Never took any of it to heart. In fact, I used to get a kick out of it, they'd "insult" us, we would "insult" them. No one was upset or upright about it.

And the older you get, the tougher your childhood was. Man, did I have it tough. We didn’t have caller id, internet or cell phones. We had to go to the library or use an encyclopedia. We stole music the old fashioned way, at the record store. And I was the tv remote. “Go change the channel to 12”. I had it rough. This new generation is all soft because of this. Lol

  3. We did... What we didn't do is criticize what kind of person he was or how he was being coddled or spoiled, or how his generation was going to be the downfall because of his footwear.

Teasing is one thing. Trying to discount and ridicule an entire generation because they do things differently is another.

I think this promotion was just teasing. As people pointed out, the promotion was created by millenials. So, I assume they were poking fun of themselves.

I think every generation has a stereotype. And different era’s of the generation have stereotypes. And people will always make fun of the other generation as well as their own.

  4. The stereotypes you just mentioned were frugal, down-to-earth, and common sense: all things that are while a bit nerdy still are admirable.

Contrast that with lazy, spoiled, and over- emotional.

    Not exactly the same.

Really, ask any 20 year old if those traits are admirable. You don't think people make fun of old people for those things. Didn't we have a whole thread making fun of 2C's white sneakers.

  5. Gas prices jumped up to 2.99 in this area.

That's 1 dollar higher than they were back in 2017.

    Consider it a bargain, that's .50 to $1 a gallon cheaper than from 2011-2014. :lol2:

I really hate high gas prices. Every time it goes up, I tell myself I am buying a VW Beetle diesel that gets 50mpg. My $100 fill ups twice a week was killing me.

  6. Thanks for posting. Saw a few buddies who were picked.

    Who did they bribe? #rigged

I saw names that appear to be a husband/wife or maybe father/daughter. That would be kind of cool and competitive. I could be totally wrong but when they have an odd last name and from the same city, I just assumed.

  7. Nice job seniors.

Seniors at a Wisconsin high school pull off ultimate senior pran - Cincinnati News, Weather, Sports from FOX19 NOW-WXIX

    (WLOX) -

High school seniors in Cumberland, Wisconsin were able to pull off a senior prank so good, even local law enforcement sent out their praise.

A Facebook post says the prank had everyone a little nervous. As described in the post, students positioned an old junk car in front of what appeared to be a huge hole in the side of the building. The hole appeared to be just outside of where the principal’s office is located.

The catch is it wasn’t an actual hole. The students used tape and tarp to create the illusion of a hole, making it look as if the car crashed into the building.

  8. One of the linked articles above said the drunk guy's son played on the other team.

I am going by second hand info from someone there, but I was told his son played on the team last year and had no affiliation with the team this year.
