  1. The whole conference is 1 giant question mark and realistically I can see 5 different teams winning the B1G this year. The Big 10 East is going to be a bear to get through. Ohio State and Penn State are the two best teams but Michigan State is really close behind and a lot of people believe Michigan is right there as well. I need to see it before I believe it from Michigan but they face ND week 1 so we should have some answers really soon. Ohio State and Michigan State avoid Wisconsin so I think that gives them a slight edge on Penn State and Michigan. When it comes to the West, its already a foregone conclusion IMO that its Wisconsin and everybody else. Jonathan Taylor has a great chance to end up in New York and they are just a more talented team than everyone else in the west. I like what I saw from Nate Stanley last year at QB for Iowa. I don't think there is enough talent there to make a real difference, but who am I to talk bad about Iowa? :lol2: How realistic should the expectations be for Scott Frost's first year at Nebraska? I definitely think they'll be a bowl team but beyond that I'm not sure.

    Championship game:

    Wisconsin vs. Ohio State

    Champion:

Ohio State (Did you expect me to say anyone else?)

Do they rally behind Urban Meyer’s firing? I kid, I kid. Urban isnt going anywhere and I think it’s the Buckeye’s to lose.

  2. I will say from everyone I have spoken to that has a CCDW, they all agree this guy should be charged. I am having a hard time finding someone defending him. I am sure there are plenty, but I think reasonable people feel he should have been charged for all the reasons above. I am glad there was video of this or he probably doesn't get charged.

  3. That is correct regarding last preseason's undefeated record. Winning preseason games is not necessarily reason to get excited but what happens in those games can be.

For instance, individual players who did good things and show development and promise, like Antonio Callaway. Qbs who threw accurate passes, including the rookie. Apparent progress made by TE Njoku over last year. WR Rashard Higgins finally making positive plays on special teams and at WR (4 catches for 66 yrds).

Those are things that may mean this Browns team is improved over last year's team. The veteran presence of Tyrod Taylor is good to see.

I wonder if and/or how long he will be suspended for.

  4. Now that my short streak is over as a thread starter, I will be joining several others and taking a hiatus from these threads. They are no longer enjoyable.

I’m with you. Time for a break. I’ll just watch on my own and leave the threads for people to complain.

    Nice run there MJ.

  5. He is a Home Run hitter, Votto is not. You did not mention that they said he did not like hitting on 3-0 and that was his first hit all year on 3-0. Please tell the whole story. If Votto would have drew a walk yesterday, that may have happened yesterday and it is not the last inning.

Ok, so for in the future that I’m clear, which batters are you ok with swinging on a 3-0 or 2-0 count down a run. Obviously you don’t like the guy batting .580 but ok with Suarez who has never done it.

In this thread, I cannot find one person who agrees with your superior baseball sense.

  6. Garrett just walked the 7th and 8th batters in the lineup. Neither one on them swung on 2-0 or even 3-1 counts because they made him throw a strike and both walked. I honestly am amazed that people on here don't understand my point. It does not matter if you are the best hitter or the worse. You take on 2-0, down one in the ninth inning. I can not explain it any better.

Correct, you can not explain it. You want one of the best hitters in the game, take a strike right down the middle, when he’s batting over .400 in that situation, against a pitcher that walks one batter every 4 games in hopes of him getting a walk.

My guess is this why everyone on here as well as every coach/announcer/analyst disagrees with you.

  7. Belgium knocks off Brazil 2-1. I'm very happy at that result, and really at this point, if anyone but France wins I will be pleased. I don't really have an issue with France, but none of the other teams have won a title either ever or in a very, very long time.

Neymar got absolutely no borderline calls from what I saw, with the official constantly waving at him to get up. I think the flopping cost him.

I saw a tweet that analyzed Neymar’s flops. It said going into today, Neymar has spent just under 20 minutes on the ground flopping during this World Cup.

  8. He could be called up simply because he's getting better and can hit. There's always room for a good leader who can hit.

Considering just batting average alone, and not getting into everything else, there are 5 regular players at AA that have a higher average and 10 at AAA that have a higher average. So, even with a good month, the only way he gets called up is for a novelty.

But, for a guy who never played above high school, he has improved a ton. If he didn’t wait so long to try baseball, he may have had a chance.
