  1. It's an awesome time to be in Vegas. The sports books are full, and lots of fun with people betting on and watching the tourney. I've been once during March Madness, and it was the best of my 7 or 8 trips to Vegas.

I had a great time as well. My business told me on the Monday of tournament week I had to go to Vegas for meetings on Thurs, Friday and Monday. I had one meeting a day for an hour. All expense paid trip to Vegas for the opening weekend of tourney action. It was awesome. I think my room was like $400 a night because of last minute.

  2. It was weird this morning. I had to go from Milford, Ohio to Georgetown, KY this morning. Left about 6am. Cincinnati was dry and no issues all the way until about Owenton, KY and then it was just snow covered and dreary. Must have drove through that imaginary line.

  3. I went to the wild game fry at St. Phillips in Melbourne. What a treat. $5 to get in and included all the different food and desserts they had. I tried deer and turkey goetta, bacon wrapped water fowl, deer meatloaf, different chili’s. It helped support the Coyote Club which helps sends kids to Camp Webb. First time going and I will be going back next year.

  4. Nope.

We've been without cable since July though, so we're used to no Reds games. It honestly wasn't as difficult to do without as I had anticipated.

That’s a bummer. I am using PlayStation Vue now and really like it. It has the DVR function and has Fox Ohio. But they just raised the price to $45 a month and was thinking of switching to NOW. But without Reds games, that may be hard.

I’ve been streaming over a year and it is definitely different than regular cable. You can’t really mindlessly change channels. You almost have to be looking for a certain channel/program.

  5. Golly Jeepers!!! I totally forgot that if you can play baseball that means you can play football. You’ve solved all the problems... have the baseball guys play football and I bet hhs wins state again. Genius

I believe they had a state champion bowler and diver also. You should try and get them out for the team.

  6. That’s just embarrassing. All across the board. I wouldn’t touch that dude at all. Speed is one thing, but 14 reps is ridiculously bad. Usually I don’t buy in to stuff like bench press but when it’s that low it shows he isn’t getting his butt in the gym and working out literally at all. What the hell has he been doing the past 2 months?

Why would he work out? That’s terrible. To put in context:

19.5” vertical (worst of any player to be drafted)

82” broad (worst of any player to be drafted)

5.85 40 (2nd worst of any player to be drafted, 1st was a 7th round pick in 2001)

14 bench reps (tied for 4th worst, but worst among OL)

    Just brutal

  7. I think they should ban assault phones (phones capable of texting) for anyone who has a license. If you have a license, you have to get a non texting flip phone. Or a device needs to block all incoming texts/calls and you have no way to turn it off. I don’t think it is an age issue because I’ve seen adults just as much. They should take the phones from everyone though, not just the ones texting and driving.

  8. You wouldn't have been able to tell that at the SHOT Show. Their booth was hopping. That said, it's a very competitive business. A lot of gun companies out there, quite a number of new products as well. I think things relaxed a bit since November of 2016, but you can bank sales will grow with the current climate. That's what you're seeing in my previous two posts.

I can tell you after the Vegas massacre, bump stocks were sold out everywhere. The list price was approx $100 but couldn’t be found. They were selling upwards of $700 on the secondary market. I’m sure there are some tin foil conspiracy theories about who owns stocks and profiting from these incidents.

  9. Georgia teacher who fired gun claimed he had woman killed - NBC News

The Georgia teacher arrested for barricading himself in a classroom and firing a gun reported an unfounded claim to police in 2016 that he was involved in a woman's death.

Jesse Randall Davidson, 53, told Dalton police that he had an affair with a woman online who refused to end contact with him, and two of his friends offered to "take care of her," according to a 2016 officer incident report

There are a lot of good teachers in this nation, but there also guys like this guy.

He had a second incident at the school when police were called. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation again. The police reports state he is delusional. He definitely should not have a gun and he shouldn’t be teaching children either.

  10. When your rights as an American citizen directly affect the safety of other citizens you forfeit those rights. Driving is definitely one of those rights that should be forfeited if you are a hazard, specifically elderly citizens. I'd be perfectly fine with a law that after you turn 70 you have to pass a driver safety course every couple of years in order to keep your license. That is perfectly reasonable to me.

Cell phones with capability of texting while driving?

    Cars that go over 75?

  11. I’m more afraid of medical errors than everything you mentioned because they have a much higher mortality rate and those committing those errors, have 5-10 years of post-secondary education.

I’m also afraid texting and driving as 11 people are killed every day. I am serious, I do not think 16 - 18 year olds should be allowed to have phones with text capabilities if they have a driver’s license.

  12. The US has the most to gain by disarming the US... I know that I'd feel a whole lot safer like most residents of most countries like in Europe, Japan, and Australia for example. Some say it can't and shouldn't be done is our such type country, but I say that our such type country hasn't benefited from being the gun obsessed country that it is. OK so killers will choose knives instead...though that certainly sucks too, I like my chances better that a knife wielding freak will do far less damage than an assault rifle carrying nutjob can. I've friends in England who shudder at their handful of knife murders from time to time, and I tell them I'll gladly trade them for the countless freakin' murders by gun that happen in our country on a daily basis.

And definitely stay out of sweden who has some of the strictest gun laws but had over 50 grenade attacks last year and on pace to double that this year. Evil is everywhere.

  13. If Dick’s chooses to not sell a product, more power to them. It’s not illegal for a company to choose which products they will or won’t sell. They are able to set policy related to their business as well. I’m sure Dick’s may lose some customers. But it appears they are willing to do so. We don’t want legislation to affect our rights. It appears it is preferred that we figure this out as citizens. I just see this as a company choosing to do what they feel they can to work toward a solution.

No issue with it. Let the market decide. Same with baking cakes, etc. if you don’t want to sell to a customer, you shouldn’t have to. Let the market decide.
