March 5, 201214 yr 1. UC's seed. RPI mid 50s but I think they will get a seed that is higher than that RPI might indicate. 2. Does X get in? Yikes. On #1 I agree. I think in terms of RPI alone, this UC resume might be the most interesting in history. Huge wins home and away, brutal loss to Presbyterian coupled with a massive amount of underachievement from the middle and weak part of the OOC. I'd love to hear this team discussed in the selection room. #2 I think X finds a way to get in. Things have been a mess, but they have 3 guys that have been through the wars and will find a way back. The UC and XU situations are interesting. 1. UC has to be one of the more puzzling resumes ever. Great wins and horrible losses. A top team in one of the best conferences but an RPI (68 now?) that makes you wonder if they'll even get in the tournament, let alone wonder what seed they are. I am with GT - I would love to hear the selection committee dissect UC. 2. XU - The thing that is interesting to me about XU is comparing them to UC. XU finished 3rd in a top conference (yes the A10 is one of the highest RPI conferences this year) and UC finished 4th. XU has a Significantly higher RPI and strength of schedule than UC. XU beat UC head to head. Yet XU is apparently on the bubble and UC is a lock. UC's record versus the top 50 is better but that is the only thing UC has over XU.

It is interesting, I had no idea X was that far in front of UC in the RPI. Surprising.
