Ballard likes to absolutely pour it in. They've scored over 100 three times this year and come close on several other occasions. Trinity is likely going to have to play solid half-court and transition defense to hold Ballard if they're going to win this, not to mention make sure that the shots are falling. It's going to take an exceptional game by the Shamrocks.

That said, this Trinity team is completely capable of playing an exceptional game; I'm taking Trinity by three.

Agree this will be a battle. Any webcast of this game we can listen to?

If there's a feed from the Trinity announcing team, it'll be on 970wgtk.com. I don't know if there will be or not.

This game always used to get REALLY chippy. 10+ years ago when I was a student, you could count on at least a couple technical fouls. I don't know if it's still that way but I'd imagine the enmity between the two hasn't subsided much, if at all. Hopefully since it's the postseason we'll get an energetic game without some of the over-the-top things a rivalry game can sometimes have.

Beat da Bruins!

Don't know about anyone else, but I was hoping this would be the finals.

Should have been. Once Ballard lost in the district finals I was surprised it wasn't played last night.

Still the same chance of it ending up a semifinal. They could have had their name pulled and just ended up on the top line instead of the bottom one.

True. Just saying most of us expected Trinity and Ballard in the semifinals or sooner once Ballard lost.

Most intriguing matchup in the month of March, IMO.

Looking forward to it. Ballard decided to not schedule Trinity this year. Trinity has taken basketball more seriously as of last few years, lets just say their paths cross more frequently. Should be fun!

Hope Tigers get chance to play spoiler to winner.

Trinity's path has crossed with numerous teams in the Louisville area.

Could be! Of the STATE tourney, not regional.

Yeah, if they switch regions.
