Actually, I do really feel that Fairview probably has a great team this year, but not as good as Ashland can be if they play to their potential. No disrespect to the Fairview Coach, but I have also seen him choke many of times in big games and even small games. I seen him go winless one year, which consisted of 2 losses to Rose Hill, way before they even established a decent basketball team. Did I mention that Fairview had 20 pt leads at halftime in those games Like I said no disrespect to Fairview, just think Flynn will come out on top.

 

Now with that said, I would love to see Fairview pull one out, I have a lot of great friends from the Fairview system and love what they are doing at that school in B-Ball and F-Ball.

I think you are correct GP21, they will stay with Barker, esp if Thomas is guarding him. Barker is good, but not that good. The only player noone has an answer for is Owens from BC. And McDavid will be able to guard Black also. So look for Ashland to win this one, they seem to finally be getting use to the new system. Even though I would love to see AT41 get that tatoo :laugh:

 

I think that Ashland can defend Barker with a combination of players by rotating Cannoy, Wheeler, & Thomas on him. That way Thomas can also conserve energy for the offenses end. If Thomas has to chase Barker around the whole game it will affect the Ashland offense. Someone stated that Fairview is not a one or two man team. How true? They have some talent that they can throw out on the court. Like I said before it should be n intrseting game, but I think that Ashland will come away with this one.

Black and Barker will be tough Matchups for the cats, they dont have one person strong enough to chase Barker the whole game, they will have to use a couple of people and that probally wont be enough, Black is too big for them, maybe Mcdavid can slow him down, but Fairview is the only team in the Region that has a very good shot at putting 5 players in double figures against you :thumb:

Wilcox and Cannoy are both going to have big games for the the Cats to win

 

You say there the only team in the region that can have 5 players have double figures. Elliott county has 6 players who can reach double figures on a givin night.

forgot about elliot, but 6 may be a stretch, have they had 6 in double figures yet this year?

I just noticed the Litkenhouse ratings has Fairview at a 74.8 rating and Ashland at a 66.7, I wonder what they know that at41 doesnt?

He has Letcher Central rated # 11 in the 14th region.

Whitesburg is 14th.

Fleming Neon is 18th.

The only problem is that Letcher High, Whitesburg, and Fleming Neon all consolated last year to form Letcher County Central. These schools no longer exist.

 

It's little wonder that I put more merit into the Cantrall Ratngs than I do Litkenhouse.

 

Judging from his assessments of the 14th Region, I'd say that Litkenhous and his ratings are dubious, at best. If he can't be bothered to keep himself up to date on the closings of three schools in the 14th, then I seriously doubt the accuracy of his ratings for the 16th, or the rest of the state, for that matter.

OH NO! I didnt realize Fairview is ahead in the Litkenhouse ratings, Im doomed! Does that mean Fairview will begin the game with an 8.1 point lead?!?!?! :lol:

Not with the calls Ashland gets at home.
