OH NO! I didnt realize Fairview is ahead in the Litkenhouse ratings, Im doomed! Does that mean Fairview will begin the game with an 8.1 point lead?!?!?! :lol:

 

 

I guess I need to change my earlier forum prediction, since I have seen these reliable ratings.

 

I previously stated Ashland would win by 15, but since I read these ratings then I need to change my prediction dramatically I guess.

 

Ok then, I will take Ashland by 14 then.

Which scenario would seem more likely:

 

The officials at Ashland tell every 16th Region official that "if we get the calls that help us win, you'll get to call in the AIT next year."

Is there any chance that you have been speaking with officials that might carry a grudge because they have never been asked to officiate in the AIT?

 

I would think that if the first situation were true, the NEKBOA association would be smart enough to police it. Maybe even put together some affadavits or some taped conversations, and submit them to the KHSAA.

 

You might want to ask the assigning secretary just how much feedback he is getting regarding the fixing of games at Ashland.

No, I dont think that is what it means, I THINK it means if Ashland doesnt win by MORE than 8.1 points, you still have to get your tattoo! :banana:

I like the way you think, RedBlood, but you left out Holy Family and Booker T. Washington. If we're going to have an accurate Litkenhous rating, we want to be sure to include everyone...

At41-Now that you have stopped laughing just remember back to the days that you played or coached(Or were a cheerleader) for the Tomcats.Didn't you feel pretty confident at home?Don't think it is paranoia on my part.Ask any non-Ashland fan(yes there are a few) in which visiting gym they are most likely to get "puzzling" calls at the most critical times and IMO the answer will be Ashland.Seriously do you ever hear people say we(meaning their team) can't get a break at Boyd,Russell,Morgan,Fairview ...

For the 16th Region ratings, don't leave out South Portsmouth, Greenup High School, Wurtland High School, Grayson Prichard, Carter City, Hitchens, Vanceburg, Tollesboro, Olive Hill, and Olive Hill Erie. Of course, this isn't including the days when Clark County was a part of the 16th and the Cardinals and Coach Letcher Norton often ruled the region.

 

As for the subject of the thread, since the game is at Ashland, Ashland will win. It has nothing to do with officiating but merely because the surroundings will be more friendly and familiar to Ashland. Nonetheless, it has been said for years that a team starts out 10 points behind when they play at Ashland. Therefore, AT41 should "revise" the pending wager to say that Ashland will win by more than 10 points or he loses the bet. Now that would seem to "level" the playing field.
