How likely are teams to go after Mike Wallace?

Featured Replies

Which, as someone has already stated, might be why the Bengals could be in the mix. Not only do they have the cap room, but also a second first-round pick. I look at it this way, could they get a receiver like Wallace with the 21st pick this year? My answer is no. So, it'd be worthwhile to me.

You would be getting a good WR while giving a division rival another first round pick. Not so sure I'd be okay with that.

Starting to be chatter the Ravens might deal a 1st round pick for Wallace. Big win for Balt IMO. Trade for a close to top 5 WR in the league for a late 1st rounder!

Equally as important is taking him from the division rival...

The Bengals would be morons to try to get him.

Give a divisional rival a 2nd first round pick? No thanks.

Not to mention that there are a plethora of just as talented WR's available in free agency that can be had for much less.

Kind of old an't he?

I wouldn't want another Michgan man on the Bengals either.

Completely agree!

I think he's arguably Pitt best player. They would be crazy to let him go! They want to run the ball more. His blazing speed keeps that extra safety out of the box.

That's definitely arguable. He may be the fifth-best player.

So true! No way he is better than Ben and Troy...

Troy is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite player in the league. I'm afraid he's on the decline. Can't stay healthy+too many shots to the head. Don't get me wrong when he's healthy he's as good as their is in the league. I can agree with Ben being one but Pitt is in a bind. They want to be ground+pound but they have too good of a QB w speed to burn to not turn him loose. I really think Wallace is gone+ they will go Oline. Great for the run game but not so great for Ben. I see him not being very happy when it's all said and done.

Sounds like Balt is backing off. Looks like a 2 horse race with San Fran+New England. San Fran is the front runner. Pitt wants to keep him but $ is a problem. Looking like they will bank on Brown+pick up an extra lineman.

Thought Big Ben restructured his contract so they can keep Wallace.

They're no longer over the projected cap and with some dead weight left to cut, but I don't think they're talking with Wallace yet...
