February 20, 201214 yr Isn't there one that you can see from the AA Highway? The one you may be thinking about is in Bracken County (Walcott?). Yes...right off the AA by KY 1159 on the right if you're headed north.

February 20, 201214 yr Johnson Creek Covered Bridge in Robertson County is about 3 miles from Blue Licks State Park - US 68 to 165 to Old Blue Lick Pike. Its in a park setting which is nice for pictures.

I've got several more, but I liked this one because all the graffiti added some color to it. I'm heading out tomorrow morning on my tour and will try to hit as many as possible over the two days.
June 7, 201214 yr Author Guess I won't be making that trip after all, since my car roundly rejected the idea of leaving the county. Sitting here at a dark intersection along US 62 waiting for it to cool off enough so I can drive back home to Bardstown.

June 11, 201214 yr I've spent a lot of my off-days since college hunting down the covered bridges in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. I think the last one I needed to see in Kentucky was the Mooresville Bridge in Washington County, which was back in 2004, so it took me almost 20 years to see them all. These are some of the pictures I took over those years. Bracken County's Walcott Bridge was the first one I found. Loved the old bridge at the old location. Not such a big fan of the new one. Walcott Bridge, Bracken Co, KY - a set on Flickr This is the Johnson Creek Bridge in Robertson County. Recently restored and they did it right. Left it in the original place and everything. Johnson Creek Bridge, Robertson Co, KY - a set on Flickr Bennett's Mill Bridge in Greenup County. This one was missing when I first went looking for it in 2002, anxious to try out the new digital camera that my wife bought me for my 40th birthday. Turns out it had been taken down for restoration. This one was also done right. Bennett's Mill Bridge, Greenup Co, KY - a set on Flickr Lee's Creek Bridge near Dover in Mason County. This one has been bypassed and restored, but it can still be driven across. Lee's Creek Covered Bridge - a set on Flickr My current favorite is the Cabin Creek Bridge in Lewis County. It was on the list to be restored when I last visited it, with a temporary truss in place and everything ready to go. Apparently there was some problem with the language in the proposal which delayed the necessary funding. We almost lost this one, as you can tell by some of the pictures.
