June 25, 201214 yr Right you are, that bridge just had a referbising done believe it was about a year ago. I think it was back around 2007-08 or so. They put a temporary truss in it which allowed them to do the restoration without unhousing the bridge. That truss went to the Cabin Creek bridge in Lewis County sometime in 2009. I was there on Thursday and nothing has changed at Cabin Creek. Apparently there was a problem with some of the language in the grant proposal which delayed funding, or at least that was the story back in 2010.
June 29, 201313 yr Author Planning on picking this project back up, starting this today. I'm getting set to head to Franklin Co. to check out the Switzer bridge since I have some time today and I'm intensely bored. Thinking I'm going to hit some more Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as Friday this week as I'll have some vacation time.
