February 17, 201214 yr I used to be there w/ the beer drinking. I have a deformed roof of my mouth. It is pitched much higher than anyone else's on Earth. As a result, I can hold an abnormal amount of liquid in my mouth which helped w/ chugging beer. I basically was evolved to win beer races. :lol: That's awesome.

From my younger days playing Strat-O-Matic baseball and keeping my own stats I developed the ability to break down complicated calculations to make them easy. For example, if you told me someone was 27 for 73 I would tell you they were successful approximately 36.5% of the time and be pretty darn close. I usually can calculate my commissions pretty accurately in my head as well. If I sell a $55,000 system and I get 5.5% I can tell you my commission is pretty close to $3,000. If you told me someone was batting .273 I could tell you their hits and ABs are a multiple of 3/11s. So breaking down numbers is what I'm good at.

Secondly, I stunk at geometry which tells us that not all math is equal when it comes to learning. I tell anyone that if you can take 10% of a number in your head you can multiply a number by , say, 5.4%. It's all just a matter of decimals.

My first C in school was freshman Geometry. Hated it, hated it, hated it. Totally agree on the 10%.

Sounds like we're pretty similar with numbers...I break everything down into percentages and easily multiplied factors.
