Great night if you are an SK fan but it was just a neat night of high school basketball. Former players and their parents, educators, etc. came out for the Mike Brock recognition. Not an ounce of quit in the Cards tonight.

Humphrey's Cards fall in return to Simon Kenton

The Pioneers (19-7) connected on seven shots from long range, led by Andrew Sampson, who finished with a game-high 22 ponts to lead three Simon Kenton players in double figures.

“He’s a streak shooter and when he gets going early, he’s tough to handle,” Humphreys said. “Simon Kenton is going to make a deep run in the 8th Region and I think one the keys is going to be him. He’s coming on at the right time.”

The Cardinals placed three players in double digits, led by Charlie Rogers with 17 points. Rogers scored 15 of those in the second half. Bopper Stenzel followed Rogers with 16 points and Adam Fatkin had 14. Fatkin led Clark’s scoring output in the opening half with 10 points.

Stenzel always takes lots of shots. I've asked several times what are his season stats but they must be under lock and

Key. He has had a POY type year but I'd be interested in what his shooting percentages are.

I don't remember any player stats being posted on here .

Question of the night was- Clark over rated or SK under rated?

Question of the night was- Clark over rated or SK under rated?

Clark Co has played tough all season playing some of the better teams in the state, winning the Ashland and Mercer Co tournaments and have beaten such teams as No 11 Southwestern, No 12 Manual, No 14 Warren Central, No 19 Dixie Heights, No 23 Rowan Co. This pretty well explains why Clark has been rated high. SK may be rated too low but I think Clark Co has been deserving of their rating in the state. Sk had a very good game last night and Clark Co didn't, plain and simple.

He was being touted as possible Mr Basketball candidate but no stats have

Ever been produced.

Sk has a few impressive wins over a 23-1 Fayette Co team and a nice win over a 23 game winner in GRC. They also took Henry Clay to the buzzer and loss tight games to Dixie and Boone on the road.

I know 18 of my buddies picked GRC to win this game I hope they enjoy some crow!

Agree

If he plays like he did tonight, SK will make some big noise come tourney time.
