Shabazz to UCLA?

Featured Replies

IMO he sees himself as a high draft pick no matter where he goes for one year of college. He's tight with Anderson from Jersey who is going there. He'll be "the man." He'll be in Westwood. Close to Vegas.

This. Anderson has not been shy about saying that he is trying to convince Shabazz that if they go to UCLA they can win a title.

Ever been on their campus? Not a bad place to spend one year of your life as a 18 or 19 year old.

I agree, nothing like going 15-14 and losing in the CBI tournament.

Pretty sure you missed the point Clizzy was making here.

You missed my sarcasm :thumb:

That would suck. Other than being close to home not sure why Bazz would go to UCLA, they are garbage.

You all are right, however people could have said the samething about UK three years ago. Why should John Wall, Cousins, etc. follow Cal to UK, UK has been garbage and just came off a season where they were a 4 seed for the NIT tournament and barely made the the tournament the year before. UCLA's run here has been even worst I know, however as we seen with UK. Getting a few very talented guys in, can turn the program right around.

I remember a few years ago when Tubby first left, a few people were wanting UCLA's coach to be the coach at UK. If he can start getting top talent like that again, then he might be able to get them back on right track again.

If true the driving force is adidas. Bazz has been their number 1 guy for a long time...

I always find it intriguing when you hear a high school player is an Adidas, Reebok, or Nike guy. How is that legit under NCAA rules?

How would they regulate it? His AAU team is sponsored by adidas. That is why he is considered an adidas guy...
