Anthony Wales signs with Western Kentucky

Recommended Posts

Three weeks ago, a report surfaced that Louisville Central (Ky.) three-star running back Anthony Wales committed to Louisville.

But Wales soon felt uneasy about it and didn't make the decision public elsewhere.

The following weekend, Wales officially visited WKU, which helped change his mind.

Today, Wales announced his intentions as he signed his letter of intent with the Toppers.

"I just liked the program," Wales said. "It's a good program for me to play in and I can grow as a player and make it to the NFL. I felt like WKU could make that happen."

Good for him. Is Travis Elliot also going to be a RS Freshman? That's two good backs in the stable, assuming both stay at running back

Demarcus Smith Jerrill Moore are also going there, they might have a very good team soon. U of L failed to get a kid from Jefferson County.
Spoke with a radio guy this morning and asked about the Non Jefferson County situation of U of L not taking any and he told ne he addressed this with Coach Strong and Charlie said they offerd several kids here and they refused them.

There seems to be some hard feelings concerning UL's recruiting in Louisville, which could be good for UK.
