The Nut Brown Ale isn't bad.

 

I really like the Bison Burger and Garlic Fries they are putting out!

 

The food is pretty good.

 

My home brew is better than their beer though. But I do make very good beer. Even if I say so myself.

I'm going to try to be at Molly Malone's for the Founder's Tap Takeover tonight. Breakfast Stout is so good!

Is this the issue that "21 Questions with Adam Hedgespeth (Chop Shop Owner)" is in?

Only heard of one of the beers on the list and that's because it has the name Sam Adams in front of it. I need to get out more.

 

Ditto. Then again, I don't drink more than a beer or two a year and when I do it's usually a Coor's Light.

So, if you live in the NKY area and you didn't hit up Molly Malone's tonight you seriously missed out.

 

Founders released 5 gallons of Canadian Breakfast Stout and it sold out in 15 minutes. This particular brew has only been made 4 times and it is one of the most sought after brews around. Awesome beer. As far as taste goes, nothing compares. The bourbon hits you right off the bat then starts to mellow out as you drink more. Then the maple syrup starts to shine with an oakey/dry/roasty finish. I only had 10 ozs of it. I wish I had a gallon! I'd be howling at the moon tonight if I did!

I errored previously. My favorite Three Floyds product is Zombie Dust. That is one fine beer.

Picked up the last 2 six packs of Bell's Hopslam at Liquor Barn last night.

Picked me up a sixer last night as well. What were they charging? 17.50 up here.

Same here. You have to think of it as $3.00 a beer. Which you would gladly pay for a Bud at any bar.

Folks in NKY have apparently been keeping it a secret. I met Mike Dewey a couple of weeks ago at a beerfest. Had never heard of Mt Carmel Brewing. Had the blond at the feat, it was good. Picked up a growler of their barleywine today. It was very impressive.

The folks at Keystone in Covington said they thought they were the only bar/restaurant in NKY to offer it.

I had the barleywine and it was good, it's actually not Mount Carmel's but a collaberative with Listermann's, Rock Bottom, Red Ear and Rivertown. Had the blond on tap and it was very good also, you could really taste the lemon. They also have a tasty Harvest Ale. I knòw the Boston Beer Company has been expanding their brand. Not only do they have the Alpine Spring and now a Whitewater IPA which is pretty good.

Keystone is a nice little bar. That's where I sampled the Mount Carmel Blond and Barleywine.
