February 7, 201214 yr A one year deal is not good. Phillips is an emotional guy and I see a one year deal weighing on him all season.

February 7, 201214 yr I hear they are real close to signing him, I was told most likely a one year deal. To signing him? He is already under contract for this year correct? It's not like they had to sign him back, and I doubt he would accept an extension just for one year. Not saying your wrong, but that doesn't make much sense. However could be true if that is what your hearing.
February 7, 201214 yr Author I hear they are real close to signing him, I was told most likely a one year deal. Who, Phillips? I don't understand that at all. Really? That makes no sense at all. Why would he take a 1 year deal? A one year deal is not good. Phillips is an emotional guy and I see a one year deal weighing on him all season. More than what is currently in place? To signing him? He is already under contract for this year correct? It's not like they had to sign him back, and I doubt he would accept an extension just for one year. February 7, 201214 yr It sure sounds like the Reds are trying everything in their power to bring Roy into the fold, so that may be. Hence why I asked if he was talking about Phillips.
February 7, 201214 yr Look at my track record lately :sssh: The Reds are done trying to trade BP, things didn't work out as they wanted. It's all in for this year.
February 7, 201214 yr ^ If sportsguy is talking about Oswalt, he is in the wrong thread. Oswalt talk works better in the Reds Hot Stove League thread.
