Is he the one that also called all the fouls on GRC? GRC had 3 players foul out, Vancleeve at the 5:19 mark of the 4th quarter, Howard and Fatkin. Also was he the one that called the over and back call?

No. He didn't call all the fouls on GRC. And Fatkin gave 2 fouls very late in the game after RC took the lead. He was the one that T'd Wing up when he didn't say a word. He was the the one that T'd Thacker up when Thacker had turned away after questiong the Wing Tech. As a matter of fact, he didn't call very much on GRC at all. Not saying more was warranted, just making an observation. And yes, he was the one with the phantom over and back call. He's...let's just call it "not very good".

As far as the "they let the coach wander"....I saw the man get up 3-4 times to shout instructions to his team on the other end of the floor. Is he supposed to do that? No, probably not. I didn't see him set any screens or score any points. But if we're going there, the GRC coach was at half court several times coaching his team. Everybody does it. But if we're talking conspiracy theories, then he probably deserved a technical foul for being out of the coaching box, and even out on the floor and was not given one. The fact that Humphrey was out of the box all night or Thacker stood up after he got T'd had NO effect on the game at all.

WOW, GRC suffers one loss after a great run and the officials are taking the blame! GRC, while the favorite in the 10th, is not invincible. There might have been other reasons other than the officials that they lost the game.

^^ If you would have read the thread from the beginning you would have seen where the turnovers doomed GRC - not the officials.

Humpries didn't get a technical so any points about him being up are invalid - Plain and simple. And it didn't matter if Coach Thacker got up and led the pep band, it had no bearing on the game. The comments were simply that he recieved a well-warranted Technical Foul that should keep him in his seat and he wasn't.

Well warranted? What did he say to warrant one? I was on the other side of the gym, so I don't know. All i know is what the man told me after the game.

As far as Humphrey being up...the point is valid if he is consistently out of the box. That's as much against the rules as being up after a technical foul.

No one ever said the Clark Co team was invincible. You said that. Any team can get beat on any given night. Just because a team wins 16 games in a row, people begin to build a dislike for that team because they're a winner. Some people don't like to see others have success . You know and I know the officials weren't the best and had more errors than either team. Clark 's turnovers and free throws beat them and anyone with any basketball sense knows that without everyone repeating that fact. Both Rowan and Clark have fine teams and I wish both the best.

You would be incorrect. Once a coach has received a technical, he is to be seatbelted and if he stands to coach or walk the sideline he's to receive an additional technical foul and be ejected from the contest. Being outside the box requires a warning. Totally different applications.

lol. Totally different applications? Who said anything about applications? I simply said Humphrey was consistently out of the coaching box, which is a violation of a rule, in which the punishment is a technical foul. Was he warned? I don't know. But if he wasn't then that's an example of a rule not being enforced on the other coach.

For which he did not recieve a Technical or Warning for. Once again you arguement is Invalid.

Switching gears - I though Rowan's #50 was key to the game for the limited minutes he got. He was big enough to disrupt the flow of the game in the middle and got some key baskets. Also though Townsend's drives/baskets were huge.

And with an ejection he also receives a 3 game suspension this year. Coaches get 3 games and players get 2 games with ejections. With that in mind (and the officials) ???????

My argument is the posters that want selective enforcement. Reprimand (technical foul) the opposing coach (Thacker )for being up after a T; an admitted violation. Let my coach ( Humphrey) stand at half court, 2 steps out on the court wherever he wants with no consequences. My point being, both are violations. One is no worse than the other IMO.

I was simply saying you're not comparing apples to apples. It doesn't matter. You would argue that the sun isn't really a hot ball of gas. He got a T, should have been on the bench sitting. It's cut and dried. Not sure why there's a break in the synapse there.

Prep Basketball: Rowan County snaps Clark County's 17-game winning streak

The Cardinals were ranked No. 7 in the latest Associated Press poll. Like the first time two teams met — a 50-48 Clark win in the Ashland Invitational Tournament finals — the game was decided in the final seconds.

Trailing by one with less than 30 seconds remaining, Rowan County’s Adam Wing converted an and-one opportunity to give the Vikings a two-point lead at 60-58.

After struggling in the first half, the Cardinals rebounded in the second behind a barrage of 3-pointers by Dominic VanCleve and Taylor Howard. The two combined to knock down five triples.

The Vikings (12-6) were able to answer the Clark run with three-point plays of their own, all of the old-fashioned variety and most by D.J. Townsend.

The senior point guard continuously found his way to the rim and was able to finish through contact. He finished with 18 points.

Overall, the Vikings dominated the glass, out-rebounding the Cardinals 36-23.

If we are talking about RULES...and I think we are...then both committed an infraction. Are you saying that one is worse than the other? And I think I know where the break in the synapse occurred...

Yes. We are talking about rules. He got a technical foul, he's supposed to be parked. If you want to be fair because you are the champion of fair and balanced here in this thread, both should have been dinged with another technical foul for disobeying a warning. Then Humphrey is sitting, and Thacker is in the locker room listening to the crowd trying to find the radio station.

The technical on Wing was well deserved. After being called for the foul he threw the ball backwards hitting Vancleve for GRC. The game in Ashland Wing had words with Vancleve when Vancleve fouled him. The refs missed the unsportsman like action in Ashland but caught him this game. :sssh:
