Was the ABC/Newt Story Fair?

I work with a lady that I rank highly when it comes to class and esteem. She summed it up very well when it comes to men that have encounters like Clinton & Newt. She said men are weak.

I have never had an extramarital affair and I'm not a bible thumping man either. If we think about the male species in general and we put a percentage to it. Her statement is pretty truthful in my opinion.

She's not far off in her assessment.

I disagree. Humans are weak. Women cheat too. As frequently as men.

If you truly love someone you won't do anything to hurt that person. Yes. It is that simple.

I have never understood the relevance of pillow discussions in a potential President's electability.

Was it a fair question? I think a better question would be is that a fair question to the Americans who should be making a decision? And that is how Newt correctly responded. I am not sure what was newsworthy here. The idea he wanted an "open relationship"? We all knew about the other stuff. Really, we have come to sexual escapades in determining who we elect.

I somewhat agree. I could care less about his personal life but I understand why candidates personal lives are brought up.

Yes women cheat too. I would guess the percentages would be less then men.

They are brought up to evaluate their "morals" or lack of. Problem is all these guys are crooked and corrupt. They all come off like a bunch of hypocrites. What happens in their personal life - assuming it does not hurt their role as a public servant - is really none of our business.

You can't run on the moral high ground and then not have to answer questions about it. You can't run as a "true conservative" and not have to answer questions about your past when it doesn't fall into the mold.

Anybody have an "EX"? I do. But I don't think she would try to ruin my chances to run for president. In the thread question, I think it wads a fair question, but should have came later. Let questions that concern our country before questions about his EX wife has put out there.

I thought he gave a great answer and should have gotten on Mr. King who had the questions in control. I'm not a Newt fan, or Mitt.

Name me one candidate that has never run on some form of a "moral high ground"? If this was some kind of revelation, then fine. It wasn't. We knew about this over 10 years ago. That is fine, the question we can say was fair. But his response was equally as fair.

I don't disagree with you. Just saying I understand why their personal lives are made public.

I'd love to see the data. I think the percentages would be fairly close to one another.

And I concur. If you are going to be in that kind of public star, you sacrifice a lot of your personal life.

Recent studies have shown women cheat just as much if not more than men.

 Now who would be telling the truth...those percentages might be 50/50 :D
