As I've oft stated, President Obama is to blame for the elections of 2010 and the resulting mess we have in Congress. People want to blame the voters. The voters only voted what they felt. Who caused them to feel that way?

 

I'll admit it: on some issues, Romney is not conservative enough for me and my libertarian views. But to put it bluntly, my views would not be acceptable to enough Democrats to move any of my views forward in the current Congress. ....

 

I think the 'rank and file' mostly is not thrilled with Romney and so they have looked around at all the other candidates. Gingrich is going to get a bounce in SC and his attack of John King will get him some converts. I have heard the Lincoln-Grant comment a few times - "this man fights" - refering to the take down of John King. But Newt comes off mean and most do not want a 'mean' President. So he will likely fade and Romney gets the nod. And Romney will do for the reasons stated!

If anything, I'm most amazed that there are apparently multiple women willing to sleep with Newt Gingrich...

Genuine? I'm not comfortable determining when an attempt at redemption is genuine. I get the cynicism but even with that I hesitate to make that determination.

 

IMO there is a huge difference in forgiving and trusting...you can forgive anyone, but you don't have to always trust them.
