Ryle 63 Conner 52

Featured Replies

Didn't see this score posted yet on here. It was a great game throughout, and the final margin does not indicate how close the game was. Conner was up by one at halftime, and then Ryle was up by two heading to the fourth. Ryle made two huge three's in back to back possessions to go up by 7 with like 4 minutes left and it stayed around the margin until the final minute when Conner was having to foul.

Great game between two of the top 4 teams in the region, and it definitely will be a battle to see who comes out of that district.

This game was up and down until the last few minutes; Ryle played a sloppy game, but was helped by the return of Cheeseman after an injury and surgery in the summer. She saw limited playing time being only her 2nd game back, but contributed at least one of the crucial three's for 8 points total. Ryle had 3 players in double digits. Ryle only 2 losses have come from ranked teams, one of which was a close one with Mercy. They will face Manual next week.

Great job Lady Cougars for a hard fought game - they are looking good this year and should have a nice future with 2 8th graders getting some time in this year.

What a district the 33rd is!

Wasn't at game but seen 23 to 2pm ft how can one team play hard and foul that much but the other apparently just play easy and not foul all nk refs need to be consistent period

So which of the following is NOT one of the top 4?

NDA

NCC

Boone

Speaking of periods.....

Glad to see the Cheeseman girl back and playing. Talented kid.

Can't believe I haven't seen Ryle play yet this season. I must be slipping.

Well considering that Conner did beat NCC, I would say Conner is in front of NCC at the moment still. I know NCC just won the All A and that is all great, however they lost a tournament that had better teams in it. Which they lost to two teams in that tournament Owen County and Conner. NCC fills out the top 5 IMO.

There was a time not so long ago when the current Conner girls head coach thought the All A was "the tournament", and should have more media exposure.

Conner is good, but shouldn't be counting their chickens too soon. Boone and Ryle aren's stepping aside easily. It is always nice to say you are one of the better teams in the region if you come in third in the competitive 33rd, and while it may be true, nobody outside of those affiliated with the team remembers that once the region starts.

I am sure at Ludlow that was the case. Not sure anyone is counting chickens, face it Conner is one of the better teams in the region. Is it going to take a lot for them to win it? you bet!

4 teams can win the region. Boone, ND, Ryle and NCC. The others will not be a factor. No offense to Conner, Highlands or St. Henry but that is the way it will go

Here is my 2 cents, Ryle is the best team in the 9th, ND and Boone are next two,

however take Moss away from Boone and they drop, Conner and Highlands are next, mix them up and NCC is after that. Any one of those six team could beat one another on a

given night but of course the bottom 3 would need to be at their best to beat Ryle.

I do think Conner will beat Ryle or Boone once this season. Conner has Boone

at home and then they host the district. They are unbeaten at home and tough to beat.

They are a top five team in the region and most experts stated last year they had NO

talent. I think they have proven those so called experts wrong.

So you think NCC can win it? Even though NCC did lost to Conner? Do most people on here realize that the two just played two weeks ago, and NCC lost to them. I know how hard it is for people to imagine, that a team other than the usual actually have a good team to play with the others. However Conner is up there this year, and it's not that hard to see. I think you can ask Ryle about that, and they would even say that Conner is for real this year.

Hmmm a 1A school with a team who was not going to win a region, so the All A classic was the best chance for a team like Ludlow to have a shot at making it down state. So of coarse it was even bigger than most, so horrible comparision considering the coaches are not at 6A Conner. Also who is counting their chickens? Didn't say Conner is definitely going to make it out of that tough district, and then go win the region. However Conner has shown already that when they had their full team that they have beaten Highlands. They have shown that they have beaten the same NCC team who couldn't win in a tournament with better schools, but did win the All A. Since it was not like Conner beat NCC back in early December, it was just two weeks ago. So I don't know how NCC winning the All A now cancels that out and puts them ahead of Conner again? As I said in another post I bet you can ask Ryle coaches and parents, and they would tell you that they probably now believe too that Conner has a team to watch out for this year. Having to play a first round game in the district is not something either Boone or Ryle would want, getting that 1 seed will be huge this year. It will be a fun district tournament to watch.
