Yes they would and Conner is right there. Love watching them play coach Stamm's Style.I put NCC there because of their x factor, Coach and that system. Insert players and

they run the system which I do think would allow them to beat a top five team.

Remember Highlands avenged their loss against Conner. I think if those two play ten

times it comes out 5/5. I do not think NCC can score enough to challenge for the region but they are in the top six and then it falls from there.

NCC is a contender because of Ron Dawn- period. I do not care what happen in regular season. Best girls coach in 9th in my opinion.

Conner is very good this year and much improved. I agree with you future coach. I just do not see them beating Boone or Ryle this year in district tourney. Just my opinion, but that is why they play the games.

Conner's improvement makes the Ryle Boone game a big one. I might just be there.

If you can get Moss in foul trouble, Boone is very beatable.

Boone actually extended the lead by 6 when Moss left the Notre Dame game temporarily with an injury.

I would guess and it's only an opinion but if Moss was out from the tip the outcome would have been different. It is encouraging to hear they played well in that time frame without her but logic is remove a player that averages over 20 a

game and it is going to have an impact. Not putting the Boone girls down but she is the only player in NKY that is

averaging 20 plus a night. Tough to replace that!

Yes that could be said for any team who loses a primary scorer. She will be hard to replace next year.

Yes you are correct, we are truly blessed when it comes to Moss and getting to watch her play. In my opinion a player like her only comes around every so often. I do also think Jenna Crittendon is playing at a D 1 level, NKY is very lucky to have both those players in the 9th. I think Lea Schaffer is next years leading player in the ninth.

A game just as important as that one happens a few days earlier. Conner and Boone play, and if Conner wins. Then opens up the possibility that Conner could still win the district. Because if Conner beats Boone, and then Boone beats Ryle. That creats a 3 way tie, and would be a blind draw. Which could lead to Conner getting it and Boone and Ryle playing the first round. So that Boone/Conner game is huge as well.

I don't know about that - Nell is, as we all know, a legend; but coach Dawn is a still a newbie on the girls sidel let's see what he can do. Last year he went further with his team than Nell did. And, although he had some nice players, he certainly didn't have a Sidney Moss to work with.

 

As for Connor, tough to be having a surprisingly successful year when you have two Ky top ten teams in your district. I don't see Connor getting past Ryle or Boone, but this is girl's basketball, ya never know!

Dare to dream! I remember a recent year when NDA and Boone were unstoppable and both finished second in their district tournies, they did meet in the Region final though.
