January 11, 201214 yr Just heard on ESPN that Phillie at one point was offering Madson 4 years, $40M, but then withdrew the offer to pursue Papelbon. That lends credibility to the $10M number. I have to believe they could have signed Cordero for much less. I like Madson but I take Cordero for $7M over Madson for $10M if it affects LF or BP.
