I had to buy a book last semester for freshman math that was particular to UK , thus, I couldn't go anywhere else and buy it. How in the world is math particular to a college?

January 13, 201214 yr How many semesters does the Master's program take generally? Mine has taken right at two years. I began in the summer semester in 2010 and will end in May 2012. That's with taking an average of 2 classes during the spring and fall semesters and 3 classes over the summer.

January 14, 201214 yr Correct. For my particular degree, I believe it was 13 classes, but that number varies according to the degree.
January 14, 201214 yr Wish I had a chance to take some ASL classes in college. That's something I've always wanted to be able to do. I would have taken every single history class they offered in college too. I ended up graduating with a history minor (accidentally) because when I filled out my graduation papers, the lady at the registrar window informed me I had forgotten to write it in. When I inquired what she meant, she told me that I had taken more than enough history classes to complete the minor. Nice little added bonus. I actually really like the ASL classes. They are really interactive and the whole class participates, not to mention they aren't difficult compared to other foreign language classes. And I actually had the same thing happen to me with a Humanities minor kind of sort of.
January 14, 201214 yr How do you like that class? Does it look like it will be a hard one? I'm certain it's in my future. Well I've had the professor before and I really liked him and the class, so I'm hoping this one goes the same way. And it doesn't look like it will be too difficult.

Exactly what it sounds like.:lol: I needed 17 hours to graduate so rather than take another class worth three hours I took two sports classes worth one hour each. It's actually kind of nice because they are back to back and I'm counting it as my exercise for the day.

Clyde, UK does this frequently. My business statistics class claimed that its book was for UK purposes only. The only difference -- it cost $50 more and they took out the first 250 pages from the original print (yes I have actually looked up the original copy just to see how badly I got ripped off). Thank God for an easier class) CME 420 - Process Modeling in Chemical Engineering CME 425 - Heat and Mass Transfer CME 432 - Chemical Engineering Lab I CME 006 - Engineering Profession Only taking 13 hours this semester since I've been on an internship for the past year and have been out of the school loop. Trying to slowly work my way back in. 3 semesters left for my B.S. Chemical Engineering degree. Hopes are to get in the industry (Still looking for an industry internship this summer... Fingers crossed) and work towards an MBA after gaining a few years of experience in the field.

January 16, 201214 yr Having once again gone through the exercise of buying books I am taking classes on how to get into the college book business. I wouldn't be surprised if the book business goes the way of Newspapers. Who needs them with the internet, Kindle etc.
January 16, 201214 yr I've taken BIO 102. Very, very easy class. With Krupa, right? I hated his class and really thought he was a loser, but it was an easy A. I'm actually in Gleeson's class. He came in and played a ukulele on the first day. Girlfriend took him last semester so I already know what to expect going in. Should be the easiest A of my life.
