In regards to Hatton it doesnt matter as he was lighting it up last year as a Frosh-soph age. However, I just looked at some pictures of my son playing as a frosh and they were quite hilarious compared to his size today. I would have liked to have seen this size last season as a soph, it would have helped his confidence. As far as basketball playing ability it really doesnt matter but as far as physical development, I think its a nice advantage for some. Unless you are that kid who grows the beard in the 8th grade. LOL

Correct. Stanley has been an amazing ball player since 4th grade. Pretty sure he moved to Kentucky from Indiana before that, where kids started school later, see post #28.

No doubt an excellent ball player. Have to hand it to the kid.... Older brother is a pretty sound player also.

:idunno: Just connecting the dots......there are for sure some AMAZING NKY Sophs that were not held back. If they were, then this would be a very different list of Top NKY Freshman.

 

(I really really hate when people take outstanding youngsters, and try to bring them down. My Momma always said, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.)

Most people don't know that because everyone thinks they have to start kindergarten when they are 5. So if a kid doesn't start kindergarten until he is six is he still considered a hold back? He plays with the same kids all the way through school, he is just a little older than them and he still meets the age restrictions by khsaa standards.
