Sadly Fort Campbell has suffered the worst kind of loss imaginable. Assistant Coach Tyrone Johnson passed away unexpectedly on December 23rd. He was hospitalized with complications from an Asthma attack.

Please say a prayer for Coach J’s family and loved ones. Additionally please say a prayer for all the players, coaches and families across our state. No matter what team, no matter what sport, it’s hard to watch as our children learn the hard lessons of life.

Coach Johnson was a good man with a great heart. He was a dedicated mentor and teacher to our young men. His presence in our lives is already missed.

He was an assistant coach for Shawn Berner in the 2011 "Best of the Bluegrass" all star game on Sunday Dec. 11th. Quality person and coach.

VERY sorry to hear this. Sounds like he left quite a legacy behind.
