U of L is a much better team, and program, right now, and in the near future, than UK. I know you can't see it, but you'll realize it, very soon.

 

As you know I am actually not someone who usually gets into this whole UK/UL debate. I admit right now UL's program in the future looks much better than UK's, especially since UL plays in a weak conference. I also remember how UL fans are as bad as my fellow UK fans when overhyping their programs, just like UL fans tried to do even after Petrino left. I admitted UL was better this year, I admit UL's future is brighter because Joker is horrible. Strong is not as great as a coach as you think, and won't get you to where Petrino got the program though. My whole thing on this was when you said if UL and UK played again that UL would destroy UK and woudln't be close. That is what I disagreed with. UL did not improve as much as you think from the UK game, and looked better than what they were because of the Big East. UK did not go down as far as you think either, because they looked even worst than they really are because of the SEC. I admit that UL probably would have won if they played again at the end of the year, however it probably would have been another tight close game. That was the only argument I had about it. You UL fans gets as bad as my fellow UK fans when things start going right for the program. UL would win, but it would be another close. As for the future I agree UL's future is much brighter, especially if UK sticks with Joker.

Well considering most UL fans on this site back then were like that when UL's program was good, and now that they finally made a bowl again it is starting to come back again! Which I will say I don't blame them because I have plenty of fellow UK fans who say things, that of coarse is going to get UL fans to say something when they have things going well! haha

 

Which by the way the 18%er's is for people who think Duke is UK's biggest rival.

I thought Strong was supposed to be leaving and you were naive to think otherwise.

So what would the $ amount on UL be right now? $1?

 

Stocks are a futures game. UK's with Joker or UL's with Strong, i'd buy UL. UK is only going to get buried further in the back of the SEC with the new expansion.

So, say UL is $1, and UK is 1 cent. You buy $100 worth of UL over $1 same amount of UK stock? Is your portfolio doing well?

You seemed to be getting me confused with other UK fans. I like you also have watched, played, and coached football long enough and also see things in reality. I don't make snap judgements, and actually look at the big picture on things. As a football program I agree with you that UL is definitely going in the right direction compared to UK. My thing was on this year, and how you think they were leaps and bounds better. I simply disagree wtih that, UL would probably still win if they played again but it would be another close game. As for next year if UL keeps improving like they have, then yes UL well definitely widen the gap even more on the field.

 

As for Strong I simply think he is not a great coach like some of you try to make him out to be. Didn't say he was bad, just don't think he is great. He is a good coach and was the right coach to get their program back going again. I just don't think he gets them to the level Petrino had the program. Petrino had them not only as the best in the Big East, but one of the best in the country. I really liked those teams he had, and was not one of those UK fans who tried to say it was just because of being in the Big East. Those teams were one of the best teams in the country no matter what conference they were in. Strong could get UL to be the best in the Big East again, however that is not saying to much. He would have to do much more to get them to being one of the best in the country like Petrino had them by the time he left. At the moment I don't think he will be able to do that. It seems like you think since I am a UK fan, that I am only saying these things because of that reason. Even though many of my fellow UK fans do that, I don't do that. I am basing it on what I see. I respect your opinion because for the most part you do base your things on reality and things you see like I do. We just have different opinions on this though.:thumb:
