I did catch that when I read it. I'm not sure how that was misconstrued. My point was that the youngster's success against Dixie is not an indicator of success against a talented big man. Dixie has NO ONE that plays inside.

 

I agree with that. Dixie has no inside game as Stansberry is really a 3 or 4. Milligan and Niehaus aré not the answer to replacing Pike at this point. I havnt seen McDonald either.

Stansbury may be a 3 or 4 but has played enough 5 and does a decent job. He scored 25 from both in/out against Camp Co. and held his own defensively. McDonald looked like he socred at will against him though. One game for young Mac is nice, but he has yet to prove himself. He is young, will make mistakes, but make no bones about it, he will be one of the best big men in the area in due time. I have not seen Campbell play yet, but Schulte will be more relaxed and Mac will be ready for the big man too. From what I hear, he sounds like the real deal and will pose quite a challenge for the big youngsters up on the hill. The game will tell us just how good the NCC twin towers are. Holy Cross is just too deep. 70-66 HC.

Holy Cross is very solid and NCC is very young in the post. Like HC at home by 8.....70-62 and the potential rematch at the All A will be very interesting as NCC gets a few more games under their belt

re: BOLDED - And that is the void to be filled. Stansberry is an upgrade over Pike offensively but interior toughness, defense and rebounding are what needs to be replaced in Pike's absence.

I think that would be poor sportsmanship and would be very surprised if Holy Cross would do that after the graciousness and support NCC showed to Holy Cross during their pursuit of the championship.

VOR - I think Xstreme was trying to be funny.....I think......But Holy Cross will not be doing anything like that tonight at halftime.

 

The HC Internet Radio team however is hoping to have the MVP from the state finals Eric Walker in at halftime for an interview during their broadcast tonight.

I don't know when they are planning to hang the state banner. I would suggest halftime of the game against Newport on Dec. 23 which is Holy Cross Alumni Night.

Last I checked i believe i said he wouldnt have his way with Campbell the way he Did vs Dixie. Then I was challenged by someone who clearly has no respect for the strong Frosh. Now im getting drilled for having an incorrect theory. wow.

If you are referring to me as clearly not having respect for McDonald you are mistaken. I have tremendous respect for him and stated in a post on NCC's team for 2011 blog several months ago that he would be a force to be reconned with. However, my point is that no one could expect a freshman with one game's experience to match up with a player of Campbell's ability and experience right now. Give it a couple of months and it may be a better match up. Time will tell. My take on the game is that if HC shoots like the did the other night no one can beat them, especially at their place.
