Hannah Thacker shared pitching with Jenna Lee last year. She became stronger as the season went on.

You've always had a good pulse on the area. What's your take on the rest of the teams/players to watch out for, 9th Region and NKY area?

I think it's Ryle and then a battle between the next two best pitchers in the 9th to see who can build the best supporting cast around them. That would be Conner and St. Henry. Everyone else lost a lot or has too much to make up to close the gap. Boone could be a sleeper but they probably are in the toughest softball District so they might not make the Region.

I agree with you but I think Boone will be a little more than a sleeper. They have pitching and they did not loose much from last year, I think just one starter. They are definitely in the toughest district but Ryle and Conner both lost two or three really great players. I think Boone will be right there with Ryle and Conner. If I am not mistaken I believe Boone beat Conner twice last year. St. Henry did not lose anyone from last year and they have two really nice pitchers and a strong defense. They will definitely be in the mix and may be considered the favorite by some. And I would definitely not overlook Dixie. Although they have not beaten any of the four teams mentioned above, they have a nice young pitcher and good talent around her, so they should be a contender. Should be a fun year. I am definitely looking forward to it.

You seem to have seen Boone more than me I saw them twice last year. Sleeper was not meant to be a low rating it's just they have been "down" a few years so they may sneak back into the contender picture

Understood. I think Brossart had a nice young team last year. I believe they have everyone back with the exception of their pitcher and catcher. How will they be in the 10th region this year?

Ginn pitched with a ligament tear in her shoulder all last yr. She had it repaired in June after East West game. Didnt have to miss any

basketball games and is starting guard. She will start throwing next week,hopefully. What a tough kid.

I agree. The Ginn girl is a tough kid and possibly the best softball player in NKY, IMO. WV has two very good pitchers and I think Walton's defense makes them that much better. Walton is a very sound team all the way around, great athletes and very good coaching.
