2011 Finals Attendance

WKU is a great facility for these games. The smaller venue is perfect for high school crowds, IMO, as Papa Johns was always a bit empty feeling.

Even though I personally liked having them in Papa Johns a little better for personal reasons, but I still feel as a whole WKU is a better venue.

Two of the games I watched on ihigh had over 13,000 watching according to the link I used.

ihigh I'm told was a huge success and surely played some role in the decreased attendance. How big of a role I don't know. The worse the weather, the greater the impact I'd think. I spoke with an ihigh guy and he told me that the production was a "sell out", which I assume meant the sale of advertising time.

I can see the games becoming pay per view on ihigh in the future unless the sale of advertising time generates sufficient revenue for the KHSAA to compensate for decreased gate revenue.

The only thing I can say about that is that they had better fix the production quality if they charge for it. People will put up with a lot for free, but not if they pay for it. The commentators and the camera work they put on there will not fly for a pay per view. Other than that, I could fully support viewing them online for say, $5.00 per or a $20.00 pass for the entire finals.

I can't comment on that since I didn't watch the ihigh production. But I'll trust you are correct and will agree with your point.

I agree , for us it was a lot easier too just pulled in the parking garage and walked right across the sidewalk and we were in. I suppose it is all according to what you are there to do Louisville does have more things as for us we are there to watch the games so Bowling Green is perfect.
