Not blaming any individual, but just can't root for a school that would hire a coach that would allowvthat or let a kid on their team that would act that way. It is just my opinion and it'll never change. Go Purples!

Yeah, there is no excuse for that but the current staff and I believe the administration is different than it was in 2002; not to mention the whole culture around the program from players to administration to coaches. I can definately understand your side, though. The only thing the same about Anderson County now compared to then is the name.

Had a hard time getting AC tape to see for myself. I think this game has the most potential to turn into a blowout. BG is superior on both sides of the ball.

You can not convince me the head coach actually gave the order to tee off on that poor kid. That being said if he did give the order, I'd have a hard time as a parent not just, the kids parent of not doing physical harm. Anderson will for sure have thier hands full on defense this weekend. good luck to both teams and hope for no serious injuries.

I highly doubt that the coach had anything to do with it, but since I had first hand experience, I couldn't hope a win for Anderson County. The hit is what I remember about them. That and winning 56-0. After the hit we were begging the coaches to put the starters back in. They didnt listen to us, probably a smart idea.

So many weapons...so much defense...so much experience (30 seniors)...so much coming back (the soph class sees a lot of action). Make no mistake, this is a great team. I've been shocked by the one sided scores against Warren Central and John Hardin the last two weeks. If the Purples still have a full head of steam, it will be decided early. Imagine, 34 points against a very strong John Hardin team in the first quarter! I feel bad for the Bearcats, but I like the superb odds of Alma Mater winning their second state title.

Living in BG and being an AC grad, I'm hoping for a good game. However, it doesn't look good for the Bearcats. BG wins big.

 

As for 2002, guys, that's a coaching staff that is long gone and players that are at least 23 years old now. Sorry that it happened, but don't penalize this group of coaches and players for the knuckleheaded actions of people a decade ago. They had nothing to do with it.
