  1. Living in BG and being an AC grad, I'm hoping for a good game. However, it doesn't look good for the Bearcats. BG wins big. As for 2002, guys, that's a coaching staff that is long gone and players that are at least 23 years old now. Sorry that it happened, but don't penalize this group of coaches and players for the knuckleheaded actions of people a decade ago. They had nothing to do with it.
  2. Sorry about misidentifying him. Just went off what was tweeted out by some of the sports writers,
  3. AC hit SW in the mouth and kept hitting. The Warrior head coach was ejected after disputing an obvious defensive pass interference call. After ejection he gave the bird to the AC stands as he walked off the field, embarrassing (even some fans on that side were waving bye to him). Congrats to the alma mater, just wish they weren't facing the school a lot of the youth I work with go to! Good luck Bearcats, you've already made us proud!
  4. From winning four games in four years while I was in high school to a state semi in six years. Congrats Coach Peach & the Bearcats. Look forward to seeing you in person next week!
  5. Final. Just know it was 50-7 at one point. Always good for a Bearcat grad to see us take down the Rockets.
  6. Hollis is a senior. This is his third year starting.
  7. Some details from Twitter updates throughout the night (sorry it is not the most in-depth): Anderson had an early lead, but Doss came back to take the lead into halftime. Anderson led in the fourth quarter but Doss comes back and takes the lead on a blocked punt returned for a TD. Doss adds another score to go up 10. Anderson scores with 20+ seconds to go and does not recover the onside kick. Three observations/statements: Congrats to Doss for pulling the upset. Secondly, I hope that this may finally be a wake up call for my hometown Bearcats. They need to spruce up the competition out of the district and prepare them for tough games like tonight. Thirdly, thanks Mr. Russell for all the memories and hard work over the years. I hope that schools give him a chance and don't pass off his numbers as inflated due to a mediocre schedule. The guy can play. Good luck Doss next round!
  8. Sorry, I meant the fourth quarter for the reserves. My computer won't let me go back and edit it.
  9. It was good to get home and see this senior class play at ACHS. Spencer ran a halfback pass first play of the game and scored a touchdown. From there it was all Anderson. Russell was Russell (first time I've got back to see him and he is as good of a player as a kid, and that's saying something). I believe I saw the stat where AC had 240+ yards in the third quarter alone. Reserves were in for most (if not all) the first quarter. Congrats to AC and good luck against Doss next week!
