Rockcastle kicked off to start the game and Russell County returned the short kick to around their own 40-45 yard line.

The first two plays resulted in tackled for loss and the third play saw Rock come up with a fumble recovery inside the Russell County 38.

Chris Luna goes in from about 15 yards to draw first blood for the Rockets! The extra point attempt by Reams is good so with 8:14 to go in the first quarter, Rock leads 7-0.

Russell county goes 3-and-out on their second series. Rock takes over at their own 24 with 6:32 left in the 1st quarter.

Russell County gets a couple first downs via penalties but Rockcastle County holds and forces a punt.

In the ensuing drive, McPhetridge hits Reams for a 58-yard completion to get the Rockets inside the Laker 20 yard line.

Rock has a 4th and 1 at the Laker 9. McPhetridge sneaks it to the 6 for a first down.

The next play sees BB Bradley trounce his way to another Rockets TOUCHDOWN! Reams kicks the extra point to go up 14-0 with 10:18 remaining.

Russell County strikes back with a 76-yard touchdown reception by Ellis. The extra point attempt is good. Rock now leads 14-7 with 10:07 left in the 2nd quarter.

Rockcastle County was driving on their next possession but a turnover gives the ball back to Russell County...then a few plays later Russell County gives the ball right back to the Rockets.

It is starting to turn into a turnover-fest as McPhetridge throws an interception...from what was said on the radio its the 10 INT of the season for the Russell County secondary.

Athe the teams trades punts, Russell County has the ball at their own 20 with about 1:45 left in the half.

And we have reached halftime with the score still Rockcastle County 14 Russell County 7.

Russell County scores early in the 3rd quarter and ties it up at 14-all.

Sounds like a really good game.

McPhetridge runs the naked bootleg to perfection for the TOUCHDOWN! The extra point kick is good!

Rockets now lead 21-14 over the Lakers.

Heading into the 4th quarter, Rockcastle has the ball close to midfield as they nurse a 21-14 lead. Got to clamp down and hold on Rockets! This could possibly decide the #1 seed in the district in the playoffs.
