I never said there was any harm. I just said that Twitter was vastly more entertaining than Facebook because of the absence of over 50's moms/females. Did I not?

Once Facebook did away with the college e-mail requirement it became a totally different animal. It lead to many significant changes not just in user demographics---though I feel most subsequent changes ultimately are caused by the change in user demographics--- brought on my allowing any e-mail. Some say this is for worse and some say for better. For me it remarkably changed how I use my Facebook account...ultimately leading me to try out Twitter. I have no doubt that the people who follow me on both can tell.

 

Personally, I find Twitter to be a superior form of social media but to each their own.

The over 50 dad's don't have a compulsive need to inform the masses that they: have had diarrhea for two days, are drinking coffee this morning because of the busy day today, are watching Biggest Loser and it makes them cry, haven't even started their Christmas shopping and don't know when they'll have the time to start, etc. etc. Useless drivel that comes from the over 50's females than the over 50's males...by an overwhelming margin.

Yes, and for the most part, I've blocked all those folks. But I feel like I need to not block a few of them for varying reasons.

To me it's really about the people following me. If I don't want to read what someone has to say I just hide them.

I literally agree with every word of this post. I haven't heard of one person who really gave Twitter a legit try and didn't like it. It's like, I act how I do at a family reunion on Facebook and act how I would with my buddies on Twitter. Nothing wrong with either, but Twitter is just more enjoyable from a social media aspect.

I'd be surprised if any college coach had half that. Speaking of his Twitter account, I think yesterday's Poole announcement was the first time he actually broke any news with it. :lol:

I enjoy my uncensored interaction with all of my BGP friends on there also. I echo Bengals>Steelers sentiment. I am pretty vulgar on twitter as I am with my buddies but on Facebook I am PG-13. I do wish twitter was 200 characters instead of 140 but I still prefer it to Facebook.
