Don't think his position was listed among those required to report in PA. It would really depend on definition of school teacher or administrator vs coach and "school" vs university. Always a gray area in the law.

November 9, 201114 yr Has anyone seen the clip of Matt Millen sort of breaking down on set regarding all this? I saw it yesterday, and I'm not really even sure what to say about it. He got it right in my opinion. It seems like he tries to defend the system (sort of like HT and RM) but then the emotion just got to much for him... "What should be done is really simple, and it's not what you want to hear necessarily, and it's easy to say can him [Paterno], but this is the United States of America … "What we need to be able to do is divorce ourselves from the emotion of the moment — and it's a pretty polarizing topic — is to let it play itself out, and then we'll see where we're at. "We think we know all the information, but the facts are, we don't. Coach Paterno made a decision based on what he was given — we have no idea. I know that man, I know what he stands for for a long time. Of all people, the irony would be that I would be the one defending him after him and I got into many arguments — I get mad (starts to break down), it's pretty disturbing. November 9, 201114 yr I guess to me it comes down to what I'd be able to live with. Would I be able to live with myself knowing I had information (that ended up being true) that could have stopped children from being raped, but sat on it? Absolutely not, I couldn't live with myself if that happened. Could I live with the fact that I acted on that same information (that ended up being false) and possibly smeared an innocent adults reputation? Yes, I could live with that, knowing I was trying to protect innocent children. If you've reported it, how could you feel you'd sat on it?

Say you have a coworker who you know was investigated for touching young boys in 1998 and he stepped down (surprisingly) from a position soon there after. Then in 02 you're told by another coworker that this same guy was in your facility at the very least showering with and touching another 10 year old kid. You trust the coworker that told you this info to promote him on more than one occasion. Then your ex coworker is bringing little boys to your company events a lot. Then 3 years ago you're made to testify to a grand jury about the 02 incident so you know it's a pretty serious allegation. Would you still hang out with this coworker? Would he be allowed in your facility? This timeline is disturbing. I'm telling you that when this all comes out and over 50 victims are confirmed and the knowledge that Paterno had anyone who supported him is going to feel bad. November 9, 201114 yr If you've reported it, how could you feel you'd sat on it? Because the AD is not the authorities. Telling the athletic director in an email is a complete joke. Paterno should have got in his car and drove straight to the police department after being told what the GA saw. At a bare minimum he should've picked up the phone and called them.

This was before the GA went to Joe Pa as well. He killed himself or was murdered in 2005 after destroying all info on his lap top. Point is this was known about in 98, he resigns in 99. Joe Pa and PSU hear of the 02 incident and tell him he's no longer permitted to bring young boys on campus. At the very least they turned a blind eye to the fact he had access to young boys. I'm almost certain the President or AD or one of them knew of the 98 incident yet nothing clicked in 02? This was a cover up and I'll never ever be convinced otherwise. Yet the guy was still on campus with an office and working out last week. All Joe Pa and PSU supporters the last three days will deeply regret it IMO.

The DA didn’t file charges despite him admitting during a phone conversation with the mother of one of the victims that he had showered with her son and other boys and wasn’t going to stop. No sweeping under the rug in State College I presume?
