Unfortunately, it's the only UK related site that isn't blocked at my work, so I'm stuck trying to find info. from there. He actually seems like a pretty decent talent evaluator, he's just a giant tool. :lol:

But recruiting information is pretty easy to come by for free and the guy has had his share of misses too---so I don't see why anyone would willingly deal with him. Until this thread I honestly didn't even think he had a site anymore. He may have a ton of information, but that doesn't prevent him from being a complete tool.

No argument there, and this is from someone that knows him well. :lol: If you want info for free, you are going to be dealing with a LOT more misses. Just how things work. See KSR and their recruiting "info". Jones usually just makes stuff up or passes along a conversation he had with someone random as "my sources are telling me". Look no farther than his Shabazz and USC story from last week that had ZERO credible information. We have had this conversation on here a million times, but it remains the same. If you want to know what is actually going on from the UK side of things Maggard is the best place for info. If you can't handle his delivery, you are not alone...

Maggard nailed Teague better than anyone. I'm an avid listener/reader of KSR. In my experience, Jones gets a lot wrong non-recruiting related. But on other things, he seems to be pretty solid. Both of them have enemies, and it's very easy to see why.

If you don't have any inside connections to recruits or the coaching staff, do you really have any information? And talking to a kid on the phone is not really an inside connection. They say whatever they think you want to hear 95% of the time. I wouldn't do it at all if the readers didn't love it. With Cal you really don't need to follow it closely. Every class will be one of the best, so just wait for them to show up and go from there. I can fill you in with scouting reports in the meantime...

Jones has no business even mentioning recruiting, but he still puts misinformation out there on a regular basis. I don't follow him at all anymore so if I do catch something it is recruiting related...

It isn't hard to be less of a tool than MM and MJ... :lol: The thing that gripes me most w/ Maggard isn't so much his personality, but rather his inability to acknowledge when mistakes are made (like with Kenny Payne, Eloy Vargas, etc.).
