Another matchup between teams who blew out their first round opponents. Will this be a much closer game? Who wins?

Breathitt gives Chapman and PCC a good beat down.....BHS 49 PCC 10

I hope you are right, but something tells me this game might be closer than some think. Chapman knows Breathitt as good as onyone considering he was there as a defensive coach for years. I believe his son is actually a coach at Breathitt now if I am not mistaken. I still think Breahitt wins, but don't be surprised if PCC throttles Breathitt's offense somewhat. I just hope Breahitt is not overlooking PCC for a big matchup with Belfry the following week, because PCC is without a doubt good enough to win this game if things go their way.

I'll go with the home team, but I think this could be a very close game. IMO, if you're looking for an upset in this round, this game has the potential. Pike Central comes it at 8-2 with a close loss on the road to Powell County and then the big loss to Belfry.

Comparing common opponents (Magoffin County, Sheldon Clark) doesn't offer much insight. Breathitt County beat those teams by a combined score of 107-8. Pike Central, 119-25.

The Bobcats better be on their game and better not be looking ahead to Belfry. This is a tough second round matchup for them against a former assistant coach.

As noted, Chapman has served a couple of stints as defensive coordinator for Breathitt County, so he is much more familiar with them than a normal opponent would be. However, I don't necessarily view that as a bad thing. I think that is a big source of motivation for Breathitt County that could prevent them from looking ahead to Belfry and keep them focused on the task at hand.

I expect a good, competitive football game.

Breathitt Co. 42-20.

Pike Central is a very, very dangerous football team with everything is clicking. With that said Chapman is yet to prove he can win the big game as a HC and I also don't think PC has an answer for Breathitt's balance:

Breathitt 34

PC 20

Holcomb and his Bobcats will not be looking to Belfry. They win 35-7. Then they talk about Belfry.

Breathitt County Bobcats

Last Week: defeated Sheldon Clark 45-0

All-Time Second Round Record: 11-4

Pike County Central Hawks

Last Week: defeated Magoffin County 61-13

All-Time Second Round Record: 1-0

**Second round began in 1991**

Past Playoff Meetings

2000 - Breathitt County 41 Pike County Central 6

2001 - Breathitt County 54 Pike County Central 0

2002 - Breathitt County 61 Pike County Central 0

It is fact, but not so relevant to this game. I think this Pike Central team is much better than the ones Breathitt has faced in past playoff games.

I think that the Bobcats win by 20.
