Joey going against Sanchez (Fla) and Loney (LA) Brandon against Walker (Pit) and Infante (Fla) Bruce going up against Beltran (NY/SF) and Ethier (LA) Looking at the stats, I'd say Votto should get the nod over Sanchez and Loney, as he had nearly 120 total chances more than Sanchez, and nearly 300 more than Loney...and still only committed one additional error. Plus, he had a ton more assists (over 2-1 versus Loney)...and perhaps most importantly, won the MVP award (and got some valuable press from it) last year. Phillips has some previous hardware, which is often worth a lot, as sometimes voters vote just on reputation. But, Walker put up some pretty good stats himself. The thing that may hurt him (Walker) is that he played for Pittsburgh, so not a lot of media hype surrounding the Pirates. And Bruce I would consider the underdog for right field. Beltran has the hardware from years past, plus both he and Ethier play in some pretty big markets too, while putting up stats that are just as good (if not better) than Jay. I'd give the nod to Carlos. Guess we'll see tonight.
