FORMER, did you see the end of "The Passion Of Christ". The guy who got "snuffed," came back to life.

He is not aging well. Mel not FORMER. :idunno:

Signs was definitely not better than the sixth sense in my opinion.

I stand corrected. You are right. I completely forgot about this movie.

"We Were Soldiers" is one of my top 5 favorite movies, yet Braveheart is not even in my top 20. Go figure.

 I actually have much more grievous "man card" offenses in my movie lis than that.

As do I.

Also can't believe I forgot Signs. Thought that was terrific.

If you can watch the entirety of the Mad Max trilogy and still say that he's done nothing good, then I just don't know what to do for you. So great.

Mel has made a few mistakes along the way as we all have. Personally, I love his work. One poster stated he hated "We Were Soldiers". Wow!! That's hard to figure......AWESOME film. Mel has said some things in the past that I disagree with but then again so have I. I wish nothing but the best for him and hope a massive comeback is forthcoming.

Agree on "We Were Soldiers". I get chills everytime I watch it.

I haven't read the book. Could you tell me the title and author and I will put it on my list?

I would imagine you only got half because like most books, the movie would have been way to long to fit it all in. Definitely one of my favorite war movies though.

Well, there is actually another battle that is linked to the story that the book goes into in depth and the movie doesn't even touch.

In the book it goes in depth about the Battle of LZ Albany. This happened as the Americans were trying to setup a "pickup" point to vacate LZ XRay.
